1.Does anyone know if having a RFE for the I-485 slows down the EAD and AP too or only the AOS?

2.Also, can one get hired after getting the approval letter but before receiving the EAD card in hand?

Good luck to everyone !!!! It's not easy to have to wait so long but we're all though, we did it through the various visas we came to the U.S. to be with our loved ones... now at least we get to be together but it isn't easy to not work for such a long time... ugh, talk about social and professional life lol I'll have a big gap on my resume xD

Nothing has changed for me either, I received a RFE for the I-485 Saturday and haven't sent it back yet.

(Tax Return of Petitioner missing & one line on the Joint Sponsor about the household size was wrong or not completed). I hope to have everything next week and send it back

No, you can't work until card in hand. You can look for a job now though, just can't accept it yet, only have the offer.

An immigration officer told me a RFE will not slow down the EAD/AP and a lawyer told me yes it would.

I have not gotten enough feed back on it to believe either of them.

I'm guessing that you can't officially work until the EAD is in hand, but there's no harm in searching and interviewing in that time. You can take your NOA2 for the EAD with you to show that it's on its way in case they ask though?

I know what you mean! I'm missing having my own "life" where I work and have my own friends! I think having a job is a great way to start having some independence again.

Nope. Not since we gotten NOA1s and biometrics done.

Tomorrow marks day 30 from Biometrics, day 54 from Noa 1.

Hopefully starting next week we can begin seeing some movement for the May filers, but who knows. We may just have to wait another month or so.

I notice some May folks got RFE, could it be a sign that they are working May cases? I wish they would setup their website in a way where there is a progress tracker on our cases. That way we would have a much better idea of what to expect...The wait is making me so paranoid lol, im second guessing everything wondering if ill get an RFE too, did I sign all papers etc. I hope im not the only one who checks email, text and the uscis website literally every one minute lol

That'd be way too convenient! Maybe someday!

I think we'll start seeing people get their NOA2 early/mid July. Just a guess!
