Just received an RFE for my I-485, do you know if this affects or slows down the EAD?

This is what's missing:

1. The most recent tax return for the petitioner/sponsor

2. the 'sponsor's household size' on the joint sponsor form I-864, Affidavitof Support, was calculated incorrectly or not completee. A household size of 0 or 1 is not acceptable.

Do you know if the joint sponsor needs to count me in their household? I am already in the petitioner's houselhold.

Granted that you dont have any child, the Petitioner is counted as 1 and you, the Beneficiary, is also counted as 1. Therefore, the household size must be 2.

If you have a child, you add another 1. Example: Petitioner (1) + Beneficiary (1) + Child (1) = Household size is 3.

If you have 2 children, you add 2. Example: Petitioner (1) + Beneficiary (1) + Children (2) = Household size is 4.

So on and so forth.

Same computation for Joint Sponsor's household size.

Those of you receiving RFEs: you're just finding out through the mail right? And your status isn't getting updated on the USCIS website?

At this point, I'm thinking that no news is good news...

I found out I had an RFE through the USCIS website before I received it in the mail, but since then I've seen no updates online, even though my response to the RFE should have arrived about 10 days ago. :/

What are you putting in your RFE that was different than when you submitted for AOS? Must be frustrating!

Got RFE yesterday for affidavit of support. They request the 1040 form from 2014. We put it in our packet, so I don't get it... We'll send it again, I guess.

It's just for the Joint Sponsor, she is living with her boyfriend so should there be 2 people or 3 (her-her boyfriend-me?) eventhough I'm not in her household or is it just (her + me because she is sponsoring me?)

12 months bank statements

Professional license

Annuity statement

I make in excess of the required 125% poverty line and am self employed for the past 20 years.

They said I don't meet the guidelines. I have consulted with 3 accountants (one CPA) and an immigration lawyer

and all find it odd and agree with me that I meet the guidelines and have done the correct things in proving my income.

I am working on an income ledger, bank letter and will submit again 12 bank statements showing deposits from 2 accounts

and will re submit my state license, and a letter explaining and summarizing (highlighting and taking them by the hand).

It is extremely frustrating for them not to send me a detailed exact RFE stating what they are thinking and they expect me to read

their mind.

Yes I need to call, they said they attached the file and there was nothing with the yellow RFE letter.

Does anyone know on average how long it takes to receive the EAD once you've received an approval letter? Really want to get working - my personal money is running a bit low! :S
