I-797 is the NOA1. Its not a form you filed. I-797 is like a receipt FOR a form you filed. You should read what form the receipt is for.

Just got NOA1 email and sms but only for I-797, waiting for AOS and for my son's as well))

Right,thank you, I was so excited to get those notices that thought it was for I-765. I will figure which numbers for what forms I guess only from the hard copies, it doesn't mention abt that in emails:)

Now we've got already our four numbers, tried to check them , but since we are new in system, guess will take some time to verify our statuses, says Error for now:( Will wait for our NOA by mail, hopefully next week))

By the way guys, do you all have the same letter's combination "MSC" on your receipt numbers? Or there some other centers as well?

They all start with MSC. i485, i765. i131 have MSC on them.

When Receipt No starts with MSC, (ex. MSC15XXXXXXX) it means that your paperwork is with the National Benefit Center in Missouri.

Other service centers as follows:

– EAC – Vermont Service Center;
– WAC – California Service Center;
– LIN – Nebraska Service Center; and
– SRC – Texas Service Center.

About an hour after I did my biometrics (on the 2nd of June), I got an email that they'd sent out an RFE for my I-485. Letter arrived yesterday, turns out I missed a signature on the sponsor/household member agreement (I-864A) form, so thankfully something easily fixed! I'm posting it back first thing Monday and hopefully once they receive it, things can get moving again.

Had my biometrics on the 4th, all went well and I was quite happy with how quick it was (despite it taking an hour to get there). I guess now I play the waiting game!
