Interview at DC field office 3 1/2 months now and NOTHING! (AOS family based)

I was interviewed a long while now and have gotten nothing, no request for evidence, not even a letter! At the end of my interview, I was told that based on what I had presented she would approve my case. She said she needed to check something and she would send me a letter. But, she never did. Everytime I call USCIS they tell me its still processing. Also, they tell me they have not gotten to my case yet and are processing the first week of August 2014 (I applied first week September). I find this hard to believe. Is anyone else that applied to this field office in a similar position?

Okay, I see. Combo card? You mean work permit? How are you able to schedule an infopass, every time I check it says that none are available at this time? What option do you click?

Go to USCIS site and schedule an info pass appointment with you local field office the moment your case gets past 120 days pending post interview. They should be able to give you specifics, try to speak in person with a tier 2 officer there.

Thanks. It is 2 weeks away from being 120 days. I keep trying to setup an info pass appt on the website, and it keeps saying none available at this time...are you familiar with this?

Not quite as long as you but we had our interview in February. Still didn't hear anything at all.

Wow, okay. I wonder what is going on. My friend applied in NY and got her card in 2 weeks. Even if they want to request evidence or ask for something I would at least just like to hear from them.

Thats a long wait

Yeah it really is...

Yeah exactly. They don't communicate much at all. I gave a copy of my short form birth certificate when we filed in the beginning, I called to be sure that was enough. The lady said thats fine. I get to the interview and get told they can't make a decision til I get a long form birth certificate and send a copy. There's an extra month delay right there.

Thank you. I actually submitted an inquiry that my case was taking too long they just sent me a letter saying that I was sent an RFE on April 23, 2015. Since I received a letter from them in about 3-4 days after inquiring about the case I realize that the other letter must have been lost. So, I just submitted another request online saying my RFE was lost. Hopefully, they will resend the RFE to me in a few days.

Have you tried making an inquiry yet? Maybe they tried to send you something. If I had gotten that RFE on time it would have been about 9-10 weeks post interview so if your letter is not lost they prob are getting ready to send it to you.
