This is such a wonderful website and so much to learn here. One (seemingly) stupid question then :)...

for some of the papers like Credit card statements etc, I am using a highlighter to highlight

the exact charge in the list of other charges. Is this acceptable, advisable?

I did it. I think I used blue though, maybe. Whatever color they had out at Kinko's. I highlighted the dates on the copies of boarding passes and plane tickets and relevant charges / withdrawals on my bank statement.

I used pink... they obviously didn't object, 'cos they approved our petition. Highlighter seems a good idea to me... :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

04/07/2011 - NOA

04/07/2011 - Check cashed

04/14/2011 - Biometrics appointment in the mail

04/21/2011 - Early Biometrics (was scheduled on May 4, 2011)

05/09/2011 - Case Status Notification - In line for interview and testing

05/10/2011 - Case Status Notification - Interview scheduled

05/14/2011 - Interview Appointment Letter in the mail

06/21/2011 - Interview Appointment Date

06/29/2011 - Case Status Notification - Placed in the oath scheduling que

08/16/2011 - Case Status Notification - Oath ceremony scheduled

09/15/2011 - Oath Taking - good riddance!

09/23/2011 - Applied for Passport

10/08/2011 - Passport in the mail

10/17/2011 - Certificate of Naturalization in the mail -- OFFICIALLY DONE!

Oh how I love a highlighter.

Hahaha... same here, by the time I'd finished I'd pretty much coloured in the entire phone bill in pink highlighter! The whole point of using the highlighter was (obviously) to make it easy for them to see the relevant info - but in the case of the phone bills, it would be impossible for them to miss, what with 99% of the calls being to him... :lol:

Yea, I used a highlighter too.

Phone bills, credit card statements, e-mails (to/from and important dates/words), visa stamps/dates, passport stamps, etc.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil
