You write the check as Greenbaum noted in his posting; One Thousand-Seventy and 00/100 -------- Dollars

Why isn't your husband helping you with this? Writing a check should be almost automatic with him

I was wondering the same thing. I think if the two of the talked about the different steps, read the instructions together, their perspective would help them through these questions that are being asked.

We talked about this and agreed to follow what's on the USCIS instruction but i also get reply that we don't need to put 00/100 as it don't matter. So i thought i asked you guys as you were helping so many VJ members in decades.

The One thousand-Seventy and 00/100 is the correct format when writing a check. USCIS doesn't instruct on how to write a check, they do state to make the check out to = U.S. Department of Homeland Security (spelled out )

You will be fine, following the instructions is always a good plan.
