Best guess from what I've read throughout the site:

(1) yes, have them mail the originals they signed to you

(2) eligibility is that you are a US Citizen (birth certificate/passport will be fine)

(3) that's our plan too.... hubby confirmed yesterday for me that the 2014 transcript shows an extension so that is what I will be bringing to Montreal

(4) since you've already filed an extension, don't worry about completing the 2014 taxes until your wife has her SSN.... during tax season (ugh, the day before they were due ) we used turbo tax to calculate what he may owe, paid that online but only submitted the extension request. When I get my SSN we plan to complete the 2014 taxes as MFS this year as it appeared to work better for us....

Woooooo-saaaaah.... Youre right, i need to take a step back from this madness and regroup. This whole process can get a little overwhelming, especially since the finish line is so close as im sure everybody can attest to. I really appreciate the quick reply ChristinaG and your first hand experience has put me at ease (For now... haha)

I will answer Question #2, which is specific to Canadians. Your "eligibility document" is whatever allows you to legally interview in Canada. If you are Canadian, then your birth certificate and/or your passport is your eligibility document. If you are in Canada on some sort of visa (other than a visitor's visa) then that visa is your eligibility document.

Thank you for your quick reply Sukie, i remember reading your advice on another post but having everything (eligibility doc, birth cert and passport) listed separately just didnt add up for me. However, i also emailed the consulate in Montreal and they replied saying exactly what you tried to confirm. That the eligibility doc in the P4 interview letter is indeed a passport/birth cert for Canadian born citizens or whatever immigration papers for landed immigrants. They are working with the NVC to rectify this as it confuses a lot of people! Thanks again for trying to explain everything the first time!

Hey AC SQRD -- I just received my confirmation of my interview today and your point 2 is exactly what I was confused about it - about the eligibility doc?! it says bring original but not exactly sure what that is...so any VJ'ers if you can clarify that would be awesome.

Hey Zirq no need to worry, i can verify exactly what Sukie and some others have stated. I emailed the Montreal consulate and they replied that the eligibility doc is what shows you are able to have the interview in Canada. For Canadian born, its the passport/birth cert and for landed immigrants it would be immigration papers. They stated in their reply to me that many people are confused by this and they are working with the NVC to rectify the P4 letter. (Humph, riiiiiiiight)

Hi everyone, i posted a few updated details on my case below. Dwheels can you please update my interview date. Also, I have two quick questions:

1. when i went to register my appointment online it stated we had choose the exact interview time listed in our letter, which was 7:00am, but the earliest time listed was 9:00am. We will still show up at the appointed 7:00am, but will this be an issue on the day of our interview because the times do not match?

2. The only medical appointment available was for 5/29 and my interview is 6/5 approximately 7 days apart. Do you think this is cutting it way too close? The nurse said this should be enough time but I am still a bit hesitant.
