I am currently outside the US.For the past month, I have being having this response

' The system cannot verify ur identity to access your requested app at this time' when I try accessing IRS transcript online. Our interview date is likely to be early July (per Dweels' stats)

I checked and my refund was deposited April 9th.I was able to access my 2013 transcript online as a guest but I don't have any idea on how to get either a return or a transcript. I don't know if IRS can email transcript to foreign countries..Any ideas???

IRS does not email transcripts. You go online to their website, put in your ssn and other info and then download the transcript from their website. If you cannot access the IRS website because you are abroad, there are ways to get around that. For example, there are add-ons/extensions you can add to Chrome and FireFox browsers, that will allow you to change your computers IP address to make it look like you are in the US. Hola Better Internet is one: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hola-better-internet/gkojfkhlekighikafcpjkiklfbnlmeio?hl=enor https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/collections/hola_networks/t/. I have not tried these to access the IRS website from abroad, but I have accessed bank and email websites after I realized I could not access them the regular way from abroad. Hope it works for you.

If not, you can always ask a trusted friend/family in the US to download the transcripts for you, and send them to you.

Hi Guys!

I had my case expedited almost 2-3 weeks back. Today I receive an email in which they talk about

1. PCC

2. DS-260 confirmation and

3. Medical

and at the bottom its return your interview date is 06/05/2015 but there was nothing about VAC, I am really confused now.

Is this what the package-4 is ?

Its just an email with no attachment nothing. Just a mail with the plain text.

Help!

Hello everybody, ive been following and learning as much as i can by doing hours of searching and reading but my head is spinning with all the info ive gathered! Not sure if i should be posting here but I still have a couple of questions i was hoping somebody out there could clarify for me. Our interview is scheduled in Montreal on June16, ill post what i know and then ask what im confused about.

Ok, so here we go...

1. I know I-864 originals+copies are needed from me and my joint sponsor. Im confused if originals means signed in ink by joint sponsor. Do they have to mail the actual paper version to me since they are located in the US and im living abroad with my wife in Canada?

2. I know the Interview letter requests items specific to our case, original birth cert, mariage cert, police cert, passpot ect. What i dont know is that it also asks for eligibility document but passport and birth cert has been listed separately so what could it be?!?

3. I know that 2014 tax transcripts are needed at interview since we are past the April15 deadline but i am living abroad and and that automatically allows a 2 month extention correct? On top of that, i have also just mailed IRS tax extention form 4868 in the hopes that it will be received and recorded online that i have asked for an extention. What i dont know is will my wife be ok to bring in tax transcript to interview showing extention in the case that it reflects online before June16? Or in the case that it doesnt reflect the extention what other option do i have?

4. i know i have 2 options when i get around to filing my 2014 taxes, MFJ or MFS. My plan is to file MFS so that i dont have to list worldwide income due to lack of time and mail paper copy to IRS with spouse SSN listed as NRA and then amend return once my wife gets actual SSN (God Willing). What i don't know is will that work?

AAAAAAAAAGH! Like i said my head is spinning and i feel like im stubling to the finish line. Somebody please point me in the right direction!

Whew.... first.... breathe ;)

You might want to try the NVC for Canadians thread as some of these have been discussed there...

Best guess from what I've read throughout the site:

(1) yes, have them mail the originals they signed to you

(2) eligibility is that you are a US Citizen (birth certificate/passport will be fine)

(3) that's our plan too.... hubby confirmed yesterday for me that the 2014 transcript shows an extension so that is what I will be bringing to Montreal

(4) since you've already filed an extension, don't worry about completing the 2014 taxes until your wife has her SSN.... during tax season (ugh, the day before they were due :P ) we used turbo tax to calculate what he may owe, paid that online but only submitted the extension request. When I get my SSN we plan to complete the 2014 taxes as MFS this year as it appeared to work better for us....

Best wishes!!!

I will answer Question #2, which is specific to Canadians. Your "eligibility document" is whatever allows you to legally interview in Canada. If you are Canadian, then your birth certificate and/or your passport is your eligibility document. If you are in Canada on some sort of visa (other than a visitor's visa) then that visa is your eligibility document.

I think you are covered!!!!
