dwheels76, Dear, I am in your hands! Do you remember wishing me best of luck and speedy process some time around November/December when I first posted here, being all sad and confused as to why our I-130 was transferred to California Service? Your words came true! So keep me tight now and lead me all the way to the interview now :luv:

I am short of breath. 3 N/A's just now :dancing:

My scan date 3/30

Check list 4/23

New scan date 4/27

CC 5/13

P.S. our country is little and the Embassy is not crowded (I hope), so I think my interview in June/July would be realistic?

Hey there welcome welcome. Glad you made it. You are added to the spreadsheet. Sorry so slow. I am on vaca out the country so not really suppose to be online. shhhhhhh.

My husband has completed his medical and visa in Brazil and was approved!! :)

The medical was in São Paulo. For others going through this process in Brazil, I recommend going to another city. The lady who worked there was rude and seemed clueless. And we had to go to 3 different places in the city to get everything done (exam, X-ray then vaccines). I heard Belo Horizonte medical was better.

Interview was last Thursday. My process was a bit different than most on this site bc my husband was in the US already and already had 1-601A approved. First of all, it was basically all in English even though the person speaking with us was Brazilian. My husband does speak a good amount of English but with being super nervous and all, Portuguese would have been much better. Also, they asked many more questions than I anticipated. What year we met, what year he proposed, when did we get married, where did we meet, what I do for work, what he does for work and a few others. Thankfully, at the end the lady said we were have approved!!

We paid for shipping with SEDEX and now we are waiting for passport to arrive. We have plane tickets to return to US may 30th so hopefully we get it before then. Thank goodness this long process is just about done! :) :)

Hey there mate,

Yeh I thought Sydney would be quick in comparison to other countries but seems they are a lot slower. I did get my interview date around a week after my cc so that was good but yeh I am most likely the one you are referring to when you say 62 days! Crazy! Most are around 40 in Aus if i recall correctly. I emailed them and tried to get it bought forward but they said I have to wait until 2 weeks before hand and at which time i can check for cancellations. Just crazy as I thought cc was the big final step but it's not over until one has exited the airport in the states. . . .Good luck mate...

thanks BrendanT... still waiting for my interview to be scheduled... so sick of waiting!!!!!! hoping for under 50 days but probably more like 65!!!!!! good luck to you too

Way to go Zirq!!

I just got my final CC today!! Woot!!

From what I've seen... Montreal typically schedules at the beginning of the month and near the end of the third week if there's still space......

There is a teeny tiny sliver of a chance we may get something, but realistically we should hear something beginning of June :)

5210.gifVisa approved this morning!

Based on the quick phone call with my spouse, the interview was fairly easy. We were concerned with having to explain/justify why we filed the I-864W and proving domicile. Didn't come up at all. Only sticky issue is name spelling. The embassy will issue the visa with the Scandinavian vowel ø spelled out as oe, but the sympathetic consular officer said that it may be possible to correct it at POE so that the green card will simply have an o. (My spouse has history in the US, so maintaining the same name spelling is important. Also important to us that the whole family has the same last name spelling. The kids names were automatically spelled with an o by the US government for passports, etc.)

Best of luck to all those still waiting to interview! :star:

Congratulations you are updated.

1. Not sure about your embassy. if you submitted tax transcripts that's all that's needed.

2. the extension letter from IRS you got when you file is all that's needed.

Take a look in the Canada forum I know there is an excellent thread about the embassy for ya'll. I will see if I can find someone posted I believe.

Hello dwheels76! Thank you for your reply and all the hard work you do, you and the other vjer's who put in so much time and effort to help guide and show support with our cases really are a blessing. i will try to search for some info on the matter in the Canada forum. Please let me know if you come across the thread you mentioned. Keep positive everybody, we're almost there!
