trouble to login here!

After filling up DS 261, do we MUST call NVC to ask them to review our form? If we don't call, they don't review, is that correct? I believe I saw something about it in a group.

Any advice?

Thank you very much

I was told that if the agent will be the applicant or the peitioner, that after filling out the DS-261 you can call them after a week and have them review it over the phone. That was my plan, but of course I can't log on to fill it out yet, so after some calls to the NVC they told me that you can send an e-mail to asknvc@state.gov where you request that they update your case, choosing yourself as the agent. Just make sure your case number is in the subject field and include full name and date of birth.

I'm contemplating sending a cashier's check via mail since I can't pay any fees online either. The lady on the phone told me I could pay both the AOS fee, as well as the visa fee by adding a note about the technical difficulties with the invoice letter. Anyone have any experience with paying via mail?

PaulineD that's gold!

So what you mean is that they said you can send the choice of agent by email? Or just the review request? I can't log in either, if so I may do this.

Thanks for sharing

Choice of agent can be done by e-mail due to the technical difficulties they're having. So if you intend to do that, make sure to include that bit.

The review request can be done via phone, which is also way quicker than an e-mail. I sent them an e-mail through their official inquiry form on Tuesday/Wednesday and haven't gotten anything back yet, so calling them to do the review of the choice of agent will definitely be quicker.

Hi.

There is no form apparently. The lady on the phone told me that I should do the following:

-Write case number in subject line

-In the body of the email, put name and date of birth and say that you are the beneficiary/petitioner (I guess depending on who will be the agent). Then say that you are choosing yourself as the agent and tell them to please update your case.

-Add something about the technical difficulties that the website has been having as a reason for this being okay to do.
