Hello everyone,

Do you guys know if the DS261 processing time is 42 days or 42 business days? It's been already 40 days and they haven't reviewed mine. They also say they cannot do it over the phone because I didn't choose myself or my spouse as the agent. Any thoughts on this?

I had the same problem with the DS261 for my kids...... keep at it!! I **finally** got someone to review them.... the issue though with mine is the kids are age 6 & 9 and I'm their mother... they are too young to talk to them on the phone (no legal standing there) it was just a mess....

but this late in the process it should be soon!!

Best wishes!

Question:

Does anybody know if its possible to send DS 261 by mail (fill a regular form and send it)?

I see some people are sending the checks to pay fees by mail (because of the well known technical problem with ceac website). Though maybe they would accept forms like that as well

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

They keep telling me they cannot do it over the phone because I did not choose myself or the petitioner as an agent. They say that when you choose a third party, they cannot approve it over the phone

trouble to login here!

anyone else having troubles logging in at the nvc site?

You have encountered an application error. Please try again later. :ranting:

After filling up DS 261, do we MUST call NVC to ask them to review our form? If we don't call, they don't review, is that correct? I believe I saw something about it in a group.

Any advice?
Thank you very much
