I hope whoever you spoke with was better infromed than the woman that I spoke with at NVC last Monday. She told me it is taking them 60 days to review the DS-260. My AOS and IV documents are also aready reviewed and good to go (scan date March 30), and all I am waiting for is the 260, which I submited on May 5th.

I called NVC again this week, spoke to a different person. This person said it takes 30 days to review the DS-260. So one of them gave me the wrong info. I really hope it was the former and they will finish this up in 30 days...

Hello everyone.

I've been stuck at the NVC for about 2 weeks now, because their system isn't working. I see some other people have the same problem.

I just got off the phone with a customer service representative at the NVC and she told me I could send them an e-mail instead of doing the DS-261 online, as well as sending them a check for the AoS fee in the mail.

Has anyone else gotten the same response, and does anyone know how much longer it takes them to process a payment done by mail versus an online payment? I'm wondering if I should just wait it out and pay online but if they won't fix this soon I might go for the mail option.

I spoke to a nice lady today and she told me 2 to 4 weeks to review everything so let's hope that is the case with all our cases.

Congrats on the cc and hope you get your interview soon. I'm hoping I will be done soon too bc my little one starts grade 1 mid August so timing is crucial.

that's what we've been eyeing as well..... in hubby's district, school starts the day after Labour Day, and we want to be settled and registered for that!! My girls are coming from a full French speaking Canadian school (though we're an English speaking home) to an English speaking American school.... we expect some hurdles ;)

My husband (beneficiary) called NVC earlier today. We paid the AOS fee and submitted the DS-261 on April 9 and still haven't had the IV fee invoiced. The AOS fee shows "PAID" and the DS-261 shows "COMPLETED" and they've been that way for at least a month. Thursday (May 21) will mark 42 days since the DS-261 was submitted. NVC also received our AOS/IV documents yesterday (May 18). The rep said it would take 3-5 days to scan them and then up to 30 days to review.

Anyway, my husband asked the rep if he could review the DS-261 over the phone. The rep refused, saying we just have to wait for it to be reviewed and that he couldn't give him an estimate of when it would be completed. According to my husband, the rep told him that I (the USC spouse) need to be the agent chosen on the DS-261. We chose my mother because I live with my husband outside of the US. I was under the impression that this is perfectly acceptable.

Was the rep correct/should we change the agent on the DS-261 (I know this would restart the review clock)? If everything is fine, should we keep pestering NVC until the DS-261 is reviewed?

It is a bit off topic, but WOW it is great the girls will know more than one language. French is beautiful, to my own opinion :)

I am waiting for the interview too. As far as I followed your journey at the NVC, it was hectic, wasn't it?
