The only experience I had with booking a flight for someone else was when my husband and I were going to meet in the Philippines for our honeymoon/anniversary. I tried to book a flight for him on Emirates from BHX to MNL. Emirates does not let other people book the passenger's ticket. The way we got around this was by sending funds through PayPal. Then, he was able to book the flight himself.

Your restriction comes from the laws of the country of origin. So I don't have any suggestions on how to get around it. However, also keep in mind that some airlines won't let you book a ticket if you are not the passenger.

Hello all,

We have a filling date on 24th April 2015, it is great to see a whole lot of case completes, I am so hoping that happens for us as well very soon.

Does anyone know the average timeframe from CC to interview?

We are going on a scheduled month holiday throughout June, would be magic if everything happened before we went away...

What do you all think?

Congrats Jamie! Not sure about your question but it looks like CC to interview lays around 6-10 weeks in general. Depends on the country.

Click Portals next to forums on the top, that should bring you to your australian info page. You should be able to read topics and then also read reviews of consulates there. If I click mine, I get Sweden, so not much help there.

A follow-up for anyone who is having this problem now or in the future.

I called back to ask what was happening with my case this morning to be told it was under supervisor review, which can take up to 42 days. The lady I spoke with said that because my issue was not complicated that it would probably take less time. So, to anyone going through this, when you call politely ask what can be done about the problem/if you can get a supervisor to look into unlocking your fee. The earlier the better. I don't know how many weeks it's going to take, but our scan date is April 21 and I figure we won't have our DS-260 unlocked by the time our file gets reviewed. At the very least the guy I spoke to the first time saw the issue and got it flagged for me; I can't imagine how frustrated I'd be if weeks passed where no one knew what the problem was, only to have to wait 42 days on top of that.

Follow-up to the follow-up... (My last one, I promise. I'm hoping this can help someone going through the same thing in the future.)

This morning my IV fee was available when I checked the payment portal. We paid it, and it's processing now. Hopefully we'll have access to the DS-260 before our case gets reviewed. :X Good luck to everyone else currently waiting!
