I already called the NVC. I initially called because I saw my husband had 3 N/A's on his case, so I wanted to follow up on my stepson's too. That is what they explained to me.

I guess I can call again to see if it is really necessary.

Maybe u should, what if its a mistake?

i read the instruction again and again and i dont see how this applies to u / us

How long did this delay your case? I was told by the NVC operator that they try to schedule interviews for multiple family members on the same date. Therefore, my husband won't receive his interview date until my stepson's case has been completed.

Ok..The I-864W cases has been okeyed and completed since last month, but I'm now dealing and waiting for other two AOS signature checklist cases to be reviewed and cleared ,for all cases to be scheduled for interview at one time. Because they all together. MY new SD was 04/24

that's odd.... I'm not fully aware of your situation.... but for my kids (my husband's stepdaughters) we submitted the I-864EZ for each of our cases and all three (mine + 2 kids) were accepted with no problems....

Ok, I just got through. It was an error on their part. They indicated that the child is my biological child and not a stepchild. I may not be required to send an I-864W after all. However, now it's under supervisory review and could take up to 42 days :(

I guess I am destined to receive every single error in the NVC site book before I can access the site

Dear VJ peeps, please decipher this for me, can you please let me know what would this mean?

You have encountered an application error. Please try again later

Thank you!

Usually happens when someone try's to access their case too soon, maybe they just gave you your invoice and case number I'm assuming ? Some people have issues because they are still putting things in their system regarding your case and trying to get the first fee ready for you .

We got the NVC email with the case# and IIN number this morning. The case was assigned on 05/06

WE were able to give them our emails over the phone as well.

I guess Ill leave it alone for another day

I was hoping to send the documents today or tomorrow

We got the email with the document cover sheet, but I am afraid to send the docs before we can log in, choose and agent and pay the fee.

Thank you

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this thread and have a slightly off-topic question but i couldnt find an answer elsewhere so i'm hoping you guys can help me out.

My wife initially petitioned for my i-130 in december last year but our case was rejected and when we got the NOA with the reason of rejection as we had not filled out a section of the i-130. We found out that they had made an ERROR in rejecting our case as we actually did fill that particular section. We simultaneously recieved an e-mail from them saying that they rejected our case in ERROR and apologize for the inconvenience and we should re-file and they will ENSURE it is processed correctly.

so we re-filed in march and like clockwork got our NOA 1 the next day, time ticked by and in april i got to know of a process called "expedite" so i googled the expedite criteria. Turns out, if the USCIS makes an error you are eligible for an expedite, i emailed a few lawyers and they all said that yes it is one of the criteria listed but they dont expedite for something so small. Defiant as ever, i sent an expedite request on the phone with USCIS and this is what happened

On May Y, 2015, your request to have your case expedited, referral number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, was assigned to an officer for response.

On May X, 2015, your request to have your case expedited, referral number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, was completed

2 days after that my case status at USCIS showed as "My case was Approved"

On May X, 2015, we approved your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice

So, my questions are,

1. Was my case actually expedited?

2. If a case is expedited, does that mean the entire process from the service center to NVC to consular interview is expedited?

3. Lastly, how long before i start bugging the NVC about my case number and invoice number?

I'm sorry for writing a whole story book here but i'm kinda stressed out and would be really thankful for the answers

1. Yes, it states right there your case was approved (bolded for emphasis).

2. No, it just expedites at that stage, the USCIS stage in this case.

3. Read the first post in this thread.
