Hey guys,

Update for you which might be a big headache for me.

Last Thursday I called to have my DS-261 reviewed over the phone. We're filing through EP, packages submitted the 21st of April, DS-261 submitted on the 15th of April. My IV fee has still not been invoiced, so this morning I called and asked if there were any issues. The operator told me that the DS-261 is reviewed, but that he saw that our case did not have the "EP Lock" (that's what he called it, but he didn't know what the actual term was) lifted, and so our IV fee was being held back. He put me on hold twice to try to find a supervisor, but no one was available, and so he took our case number and told me that as soon as one was around he'd ask them to unlock the EP process. He told me that once that issue was fixed, the invoice would be processed in the typical 3-5 day timeframe, so to call back in 7 days if I didn't hear anything.

Anyone else have similar experiences? I'm bummed, because I know the processing times are stellar right now and I dread the thought of getting checklisted over this. :(

Ugh! I'm sorry to hear that.

Did you manage to talk to anyone about it at the NVC? Did they tell you they'd try to get someone to unlock it?

I've heard that after the IV fee/DS-260 is filled out, you can get CC in a week vs. the 30 days it takes to process a regular check list. I'm not 100% certain that that's true, but I hope it is for your sake (and probably mine, since my hopes that this problem is taken care of are very low).

If anything happens on my end I'll let you know. I'm really bummed out right now for both of us. I hope you get the problem fixed and get a quick CC after that.

Yeah as soon as I get it open and done and filled out I'm calling every day after that haha .

And it's nice to have someone going and feeling the same pain since there's barely any EP people on here . Keep calling I do all the time otherwise they are going to forget about you .

Definitely. Let's try to keep each other's spirits high. In a few months, when this is all done, all this frustration will be behind us and forgotten. It just sucks for the time being.
