Hi all, so I haven't been that active on this forum, but have been lurking and keeping tabs on whats going on. Basically things have gotten very sour between my wife and I to the point where I was ready to risk having to leave and go back to New Zealand rather than deal with the ####### anymore. Lo and behold I check online today and my case status has been changed to card in production 3/2/16. Filed end of April 2015 with NOA1 date of 5/8/15.

The good thing is I'm not stuck between a rock and a hard place any more!!!

Things are moving along at the VSC.

Congratulations to you too. You are the second approval in this week. Hopefully more will come but until I see five approvals a day, I wouldn't call things are moving at VSC. Right now it's just slowly crawling.

Awesome!! You're the 3rd approval of reporting this week. Do you know when you were actually approved? Approvals usually happen couple days before card production. Regardless one more approval for VSC. Congratulations!

Hey all - I applied in May (12th) in VSC and today finally got a letter in the mail, though not what I expected. Request for more evidence.. damn it!

I'm freaking out a little bit, I thought I sent everything possible, I gave the customer service center a call and they weren't giving much information, said legally they are not allowed to advise us what's good evidence or something of the like. We are legitimately married for almost 4 years (since June 2012), we have no kids yet (talk about a slap in the face, do they have to make our lives harder b.c we don't yet have kids?). I've been through 3 miscarriages over the course of our marriage, and I'm now 3 months pregnant after surgery etc. Should I even bother sending an ultrasound picture?

I initially sent 2 letters from friends who have known us for the duration or our marriage and before (both attended our wedding etc and we get together a lot) but he said something about it having to be an affidavit, does that mean I have to get a lawyer to sign it? He didn't say it was a form that was on the USCIS website.

Here's a picture of the relevant part of their letter. Any advice guys would help me. Our major issue is that we bought a house in 2013 under my husband's name alone b.c when my name was added the mortgage rates went up the roof. He's saying they still will and basically it's not an option to add me.. Should I insist we do that anyways in the price of our mortgage rate going up?

Thanks! I was going to say that I didn't know the date of approval, and then I went outside for the mail, and the approval letter was there! Approval date is 02/29/2016

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear you were not yet approved, but you will get there eventually, dont worry! I would send multiple bank statements that cover the entire length of the time you've had the account in both your names. You dont have to print out every months statement, you can space them out 3 months (that's what I did at least) each.

We also did not own a home together or have any children at the time of applying for removal of conditions. I think I sent insurance, bank statements, proof that we had each other as beneficiaries on life insurance, plane tickets of travels taken together, photos, joint ownership of car, and other bills in our names.

Are you sure about your mortgage rate going up if you are added on the house? I feel like that can't be true, but I'm no expert. I would just double check that.

Sorry to hear you get RFE but let's start with saying any news is better than no news after waiting 10 months. Now you just need to add more proof of the past and what you did since you filed.

Start with what you are missing:

- did you only send them 2014 return? That letter does not mention previous years. If not, order transcripts for earlier years. As well as include transcript for 2015 taxes, if you haven't filed yet, do so soon.

- what about bills from earlier years? Again that letter only says you included only one bill close to your filing date.

- driver's licenses showing shared address?

- any trips you guys taken together? Boarding passes better but if not include itineraries.

- any joint car insurance? Joint cell phone utility bills?

- People suggest creating wills, power of attorney. These can be ordered online.

- Photos/ cards adresses to you both?

- Life insuranece / 401K beneficiary information?

Basically don't limit the evidence to just recent ones. Include as much as you can from earlier years and also more of the same since you filed until today. You should also explain why your name is not on the mortgage same way your wrote above.

I am sorry about what you guys went through having a child. However I wouldn't emphasize on not having a child. They cannot adjudicate on child because some couples can't have kids, very old couples, very young couples, same sex couples, or just by preference. Maybe showing medical bills would help but I wouldn't put ultrasound picture.

Also search other threads on how people responded to RFEs. Recently there has been a few people asked for suggestions for RFEs.
