Today was my interview. I brought way more stuff than they needed (why did they ask for an entire copy of my application and EVERY document immigration has even sent us?), as all they wanted was as much ID we can throw at them, marriage documents and relationship evidence.

Anyways, after interviewing us individually I got approved! Now to wait for the card.

The immigration officer said I'll be back there again for interview/test if I go for citizenship.

Congrats!

So at what point do they notify you of an interview? Before ir after biometrics? Just curious because we are one of the last coiples on VJ who filed in May and just got our bio letter. Appointment is this Thursday. Just Wondering if it will be smooth sailing after that or if we could still get notified of an interview

I got my interview letter about 2 months after I did biometrics. The letter gave 1 month notice until my interview.

There's not much info on the interview, but the letter has a big list of stuff to bring. They should tell you at the start of the application process to continue to gather supporting evidence just in case you get called in for an interview (at least in my case, I'm greencarding via marriage). They wanted stuff in addition to what I sent them with my lifting conditions application. The stuff that was a scramble to get in time was another marriage certificate and my husband (US Citizen) Birth certificate. They liked my photos, travels I did since filing, and current bank statements.

Can I get a I-551 stamp with the extension letter for traveling? Also if I live in Georgia what service center can I go to.

You need to make an info pass and as I can remember that they asking for your zip code then it's showing the available offices for you .

I made one and I have an appointment today to get the stamp from Atlanta office

I'll let you know when I'm done

So tomorrow morning we finally have the bio appt. Am i correct in thinking that with the WAC number on the letter we will now be able to track progress online?

At our bio appointment will my wife be able to get the travel stamp in her passport? She just recently found out she has to go to mexico next week for work. We're a little nervous about the whole thing.....passport in maiden name, green card with expiration date that says expired, and only the ROC GC extension letter to carry with her as proof her GC isn't really expired

We filed on May (don't remember the exact date, around the 1st) and received biometrics in late June. We received an RFE on 07/27/2015 and submitted everything about August 10th. Have many of you received an RFE? We submitted quite a bit of documentation with our original application and even more to respond to the RFE. I am just wondering if they will interview us? Soon? We sent our application to VSC. Thoughts?

What they asked you for in the RFE letter and on the other hand it doesn't mean you will have an interview later after sending your stuff .

A lot of filers got their approval after sending the right documents
