Hi,

Since I didn't receive my bio metircs appointment letter, I called customer care and informed them. They told me that they have rescheduled it for September 3rd and I will receive a new appointment letter on or before Aug 31st. Still I didn't receive my appointment letter.

I called again and asked them. They told me that there was a typo mistake in my address (door no). So they sent it to wrong address. Also they told me that they will send the fax within 48 hours anytime. I have given my friends fax number. I am not sure whether i will receive fax before my appointment. If I didnt receive fax what I have to do?

I know the date and time of my appointment.

Shall I directly go to local USCIS office to inform them about my situation?

Will they allow me to provide finger print without appointment letter?

To my knowledge and experience - without the biometrics letter they cannot, and will not, proceed with the fingerprints. They need to be able to scan the barcode contained on the letter both at check-in and at the time of taking the fingerprints / photo.

You'd be best off chasing USCIS to get you that, either via e-mail or fax. You may want to investigate the possibility of engaging your local congress office - mine were able to get my biometrics letter emailed to me the next day.

Question, should i be expecting a notice or update from the case status online website after getting my biometrics done?

I have done the biometrics in June but two months later the case status online still says this:

On May 28, 2015, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by June 27, 2015,

what does this mean? or should i just wait?

Ok, still no bio here. Several weeks ago my wife was able to open a service request, and the 30 days came and went with no response. She called back and they told her they sent a letter which we obviously never received. They said that all the letter said was that they are experiencing delays and she is on the list. We are now 3 months and 3 days from noa1 receipt, and we're going to call back again today or tomorrow. Assuminh we don't get any solid info, we're going to try contacting our local congressman like some of you have suggested. I am guessing i will email him....what exactly am i supposed to say? Do i keep it as brief as possible and then give him the details if he responds? Or do we explain the whole situationright away?

You won't receive any updated case status online for Biometrics. You can call USCIS, ask to speak to a second line Immigration Officer and they can verify if they received your Biometrics, but otherwise the case status won't change until approval / denial.

When you engage your local congress office, they will have you fill out a casework authorization form. It's there where you detail the issue - keep it short and sweet, that you haven't received a Biometrics appointment and you're looking to expedite this. It usually only takes 24-48 hours for a congressional inquiry to be resolved by USCIS.

We still have not received my husbands biometrics letter either. last week we called uscis again and were told they can not located our case at this time and not to inquire again until mid September. I have now enlisted the help of our congressman.

If you go to your congressman's website you should be able to fill out a privacy release and submit a request.

I had to do this when we were waiting for his green card. I kept the initial request brief and to the point. My congressman's assistant followed up a few days later with a phone call in which we went into more detail. We received a response a few days later. I hope we get the same results this time. It's frustrating that we have had to contact our congressman more than once during this process. Good luck-hopefully both of us will get our appointment soon!
