Hi,

My receipt date is 05/22/2015. The NOA1 Date is 06/02/2015.I received this NOA1 on 06/12/2015. But there was a spelling mistake in my FIRSTNAME. I called the customer care on the same day(06/12/2015) and informed them. The Customer Care Representative told me that they will send the corrected NOA1 soon.

I have received my corrected NOA1 on 07/10/2015. The new receipt date is 06/18/2015. I was waiting for BIOMETRIC letter until 07/29/2015. After that I called again the customer care and informed them about that BIOMETRIC letter which I have not received.

Upon my call to customer care on 07/29/2015, I have received a letter today (08/14/2015) from USCIS. Below is the part information from the letter,

Our records indicate that USCIS recently requested that you go to one of our Application Support Centers for processing associated with this case. You were scheduled at the USCIS office, on June 6, 2015.

We will reschedule your another ASC appointment and you should receive the notice within 15 days at the address you provided during your inquiry. We have also updated your address in our electronic system.

Your case is currently in suspense until you complete this process. We hope this information is helpful to you.

I am completely confused from this letter. Because I have received my NOA1 on 06/12/2015. How can I go to BIOMETIRC appointment on 06/06/2015.

Also I have initiated my inquiry on 07/29/2015. Today (08/14/2015) is the 16th day including weekends. I am not sure how long I have to wait for my appointment letter.

Also, Can you please tell me whether any other process to proceed with my application?

Someone definitely found the files from after May 19. Biometric apointment notice received on Thursday...appointment on 08/27 in Spokane.

I think you are confused. How can your receipt date be different than your NOA1 date? NOA1 date is not the day you RECEIVE the NOA1 but rather the receipt date on the NOA1.

There is a sent date - the day you SENT the I-751

There is a NOA1 date - this is the receipt date on the NOA1

So wait the 15 days and see if you get a new biometrics letter. If you do not, call again.

I like to think that whoever was responsible for the oversight of the files from May 19-31 was at least given a slap on the wrist... this is federal government though, so it's almost impossible to get fired...

Just saw that my approval came from my local office in Chula Vista, not the CSC. Maybe that is why I got approved so fast? Less than 3 months from NOA1!

Just saw that my approval came from my local office in Chula Vista, not the CSC. Maybe that is why I got approved so fast? Less than 3 months from NOA1!

My approval also had the San Antonio office listed on the bottom so I was wondering if it came from there?

It's possible. Looking at my local office, they're doing I-485s from Aug 2014 and N-400 from Dec 2014. If my I-751 gets sent there, I'm anticipating a long wait.

Granted it only took 4 months for our I-130 and I'm pretty sure it was also sent to the local office since that was the norm at the time.
