Question - possibly a stupid one - Do I have to make an appointment at my local office to get my passport stamped? Or can I just do a walk in? I have my letter of extension but I am heading out of the country in a few weeks and I am gone for a total of 8 weeks and was thinking the stamp might be better. Should I even bother? Will I have issues coming back in to the country if I just have the extension letter?

Looks legit! Well I never. I was honestly expecting an RFE for our 2014 tax returns (we had an extension this year, so we only sent the extension approval letter). I guess they're really trying to motor through for some reason!

I'll update the table and assume Aug 7th for approval date, unless I get a letter saying otherwise!

Thanks, lovelies. I see April's list is getting approvals, too, so I think we're in good stead to see more of May coming in.

As a side note - it really bugs me to see them doing this. They're still finishing up as far back as November from what I can tell, so I only assume that them starting to pick off from May is an attempt to fudge the average processing times. :ranting:

I am so FRICKEN MAD... Like steaming MAD. Went to my local office in Louisville (just left there) and they refused to stamp my passport. They said I haven't paid for the privilege.... He said legally he is not allowed to as I have all the evidence I need to prove I am a legal resident right now....

I do wonder how they decide which ones to 'set aside' and which ones to zip on through. They did this same thing with the initial K1 Visas... it really seems erratic. I realize they are extremely overwhelmed and do the best they can, but shouldn't they at least keep the order? It doesn't seem fair there are still Novembers waiting. I feel bad for those left behind. Or are there reasons for those that have to wait? I would assume RFE's or interviews, but that is just so sporadic. /rant

May 26th filer here...still waiting for bio appt letter. On July 14th my wife called and they opened a service check...said we should get something in the mail in 15-30 days - it's now been 27 days.

Too bad no one from Vermont has received an approval.
Hopefully we'll see one soon.

I was honestly not expecting to see any May approvals for at least a couple of weeks. This is really great news! Congratulations!
