hi everyone here in vj,wanna ask question bout our aos,in 2014 poverty line were little over of my husband 2014 tax returned.As i checked the 2015 povertyline they raise up,and were short a hundred..do we need a joint sponsor???thanks and God bless!!!

To avoid an RFE get a joint sponsor. Even if you are one hundred short, the CO will RFE, why risk that. Also, you can get away with submitting only 2014 tax returns, maybe that will make it easier to get the joint sponsor.

thanks,Dohan...just hard to get someone whose willing to fill out the joint sponsor form,..is that possible we get deny???

if you do not meet or have a qualified joint sponsor for the poverty guidelines the visa will not be granted. The CO will ask for a joint sponsor or you will have to wait until the petitioner makes enough money or has enough assets to qualify.


Only the current year of poverty guidelines count.

So if your interview ends up in 2016, then that would be the guideline you must meet. Because it is 2015, you must meet or exceed the 2015 guideline.

thanks alot NLR,hoping will get an interview this year my husbands 2014 taxed returned his little over in the 2014 povertyline and found out that they raised up this year 2015,were hundred short.. :cry::cry:
