I am so sorry lilygirl-that is not fair. I hope it all works out soon and you can forget this nightmare experience.

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but it bears repeating, if you're scheduling a medical appointment in Bogota, avoid...

Dr Mónica Caicedo

Here is the pain and money she cost us:

1. She unnecessarily referred my wife to a specialist when my wife's personal doctor's records were already clear.

2. The doctor received the specialist's report the day before the interview but did not forward them on immediately

3. After the interview, she called my wife to come visit again. My wife gave her some more details and asked if the doctor needed anything else, to which the doctor replied, "no".

4. My wife flew back to her home town of Cali, but upon landing received a voice mail from the doctor saying that she needed to return to sign a document.

5. We had to buy another RT ticket to Bogota so my wife could sign the document, the next day.

6. The doctor still did not send the medical documents to the consulate on Thursday.

7. Finally, 2 days after the interview, the doctor sent the documents to the consulate.

Again, my recommendation would be to avoid at all costs.

Wow, I cannot believe that, thankfully my husband went elsewhere-They did charge him to get a vaccine he truly didn't need but that's not too bad-kinda expected it given the reviews of the doctors.

My husband is at the embassy now-hopefully done soon.

We had our interview today. My daughter is approved and she will get her passport in two weeks. Mine is under review but the consul said it will take maximum 2 days to confirm the approval of a waiver in 2011. I didn't have the original of this approval, just a copy.

We had the interview at 7:30, but we were at the embassy at 6:45. First we had to submit the documents: medical report, passport, two pictures and the confirmation of the D-260 submission. After one hour and 15 minutes, the consul called us. She was so kind. She asked who was petitioning us and where was my husband ( My husband was there with us). Where did we met and When did we get married. How many times have we gone to United States and which time was the longer stay. If i have a prior marriage and if my husband has. And If we have children (Our little daughter also was there with us).

Then she asked if I have the approval of the waiver (overstay), and I gave her the copy. So then she told me that in order to approve the visa, she has to confirm the approval of this waiver but she couldn't do it at that moment because there was a technical issue. So maximum in two day she will let me know by e-mail. Then she talked with my daughter, and told her she was approved and in two weeks she will receive her passport.

God is good!!

Congratulations, lopezgallo. I totally understand your relief at completing the interview and receiving conditional approval. I hope the approval of the waiver goes through without a problem for you. A number of us now are waiting for conditions to lift prior to visa approval. Hopefully we all receive good news within a week.

Hi guys,

Congratulations to all of you on your approvals.

I had my interview on the 18th and was approved too.

I have a questions regarding the recent hacking issue and the difficulties all embassies are having with Visa printing.

Have you received your passports and visas?

After you got approved, did your status on CEAC change? Also, are you able to track your passport on DHL or through the ais.us-info.com?

Thanks so much

Yes, I have communicated with Kimo & Angela. It seems they might be experiencing a similar thing to what happened with our interview/application. At this point, I think we have to wait until the visa printing system is fully back online and working through the backlog of non-immigrant visas.

Congratulations laucs72. I believe the only applicant who has participated on this thread who has their visa in hand is yc146. His interview was on June 2nd, and they printed his visa before the printing system went down on June 9th. My wife's interview was June 3 but she had complications with her medical report and was not complete and ready for printing until June 5th, which appears to have been too late to have been printed prior to the system outage.

The system is now working for some embassies but I haven't heard if Bogota is online yet. They clear all emergency, travel and work visas before they start reducing the non-immigrant visa backlog. So it will be another wait for all of us.

I believe some CEAC statuses remain as "Ready", but ours was moved to "Administrative Processing" which is not uncommon from my understanding. DHL tells us we have to receive an email from the consulate first stating that the visa has been printed. There's no shipment to track before then.

Hope you don't have to wait as long as us.
