Today I sent an e-mail to the embassy asking about the passport. Just received the response. They told that the passport has been given to DHL, and that we must communicate with DHL for inquiries.

Then we called DHL, and asked about that. They told us that they have two days after receiving the passport to send the tracking e-mail. So hopefully on wednesday we'll have the tracking e-mail.

After calling DHL, I wasn't happy with the answer we received, I decided to contact DHL Colombia facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DHLColombia (inbox), and ask if they do have tracking number yet, I sent my daughter's name, and the ais.usvisa number (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-co/iv).

After a while I received a note asking me to send the phone number so a costumer representative can call me.

After half an hour, I received the call from DHL, I told her what was happening and she ask me my daughter's name and cedula number and she told me she will call me later.

Five minutes later, she called me with tracking number and told me the passport was ready to be picked up. So please, each one of you with issued visa, call DHL, or write.

The e-mail that I use to write to the embassy is IVBogota@state.gov

PS. We went immediately to pick up my daughter's passport, and we will be travelling on July 15th.

Congratulations! Wow you have a travel date:))) And thanks so much for the information...it really has been helpful knowing we aren't the only ones experiencing delay after delay with this whole process. We will contact DHL again tomorrow

Lopezgallo, thanks for the info. What is the cedula number? Did you get that from https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-co/iv? If so, what does the number look like? Which links do you click to find the #? Thanks for any guidance you can provide?

The cédula is the colombian ID number, given to any 18 or older.

Russ&Caro, as Andres&Lina said, the cedula number is the national id number. And also send the ais.usvisa number and complete name. Let me know if you need something else. Good luck!

The ais.usvisa is the number in the lower part when you log in, "Número de identificación de cuenta IVR" and is an 8 digit number.

No luck with DHL for us, my husband called the embassy and was told to email the address listed under "document delivery issues" from this link...
