i got mine on Sept 15th.. and they said that because of the holidays it was the best they could do.

I totally understand the disappointment... i felt that way too.

Especially because we all have been on hold a year for this.

The problem is that the TSC is so behind compared to the other SCs and they should have done something in order to not make people wait that long.

We got our packet 3 and interview date today. I'm really disappointed. It's for October 20th. By the time he gets here it will be nearly a year since we filed and since we saw each other. I called and they said I could write an email to ask for an earlier date but there's no guarantee we'll get one.

Wohooooo! Got my NVC case number. 25 days post NOA-2, so on the longer side. Not working on CEAC yet, but another step done. Waiting for package three now.

Our case was approved on June 26th and sent to the nvc on July 9th. Still haven't heard anything from the embassy - is it normal that it takes them so long to send packet 3? I'm thinking about writing them an email, I just don't want to be too pushy.

We haven't got our case number either since my fiance is not really patient :-D but I guess we only need that number to track our case, the embassy will send me the case number anyway, right?

Jacquelinek, I'd call the NVC. That's a long time now to be without a case number I think.

Mine was approved 30th June, received by NVC two weeks later and a case number was generated the next day. The case is now at the embassy in London. Good luck!

jaquelinek: You are still within the normal range...especially given the current holiday season. For me, the time from NOA-2 to pack three was almost 2 months. It doesn't hurt calling or emailing though. With your NVC number, you can track your case.

I agree: you need call NVC first ...

NVC can also tell you where it is (if it is still there or they forwarded to your country)

She technically doesn't, though it may help the embassy.

You can email the embassy using your USCIS confirmation number, & petitioner & beneficiary full name and DOB. They can locate the case without the NVC number.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I mentioned in my email about our wait being longer, but I don't expect them to care. They may contact us if someone cancels, I think. Cameroonians aren't good with appointments and being on time, so I'm hoping that'll work to our advantage. I mostly just feel numb.

We were approved on 07/31/2015. Our case was sent to NVC on 08/04/2015. I called NVC today and they gave me our case number and invoice number. They told me that the case number was created yesterday. I went to the CEAC but case number not working. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR IT TO START WORKING?

I started looking for flights today and see how much they cost.

I was thinking about getting a ONE WAY ticket, since of course I am not going back, but I wanted to know if y'all think that is better to buy a ROUND TRIP one..

A round trip is gonna be way cheaper, but make sure to either cancel the return or place the return way in the future after you are likely to have AP.

I booked a one way using miles, otherwise it would have been pretty unaffordable.

I started looking for flights today and see how much they cost.

I was thinking about getting a ONE WAY ticket, since of course I am not going back, but I wanted to know if y'all think that is better to buy a ROUND TRIP one..

It was MUCH cheaper for us to buy a round trip tickets. We just bought a back way ticket for as late date as we could.-- for the 1 st of June 2016.
