You ARE required to demonstrate that you are in a valid and legitimate marriage and that you are living with your spouse in order to apply under the 3 year rule. You don't need to send all that stuff

I didn't have the interview yet. It is 2 weeks from now.

faris2015: I was in line for almost 3 months. It took around 7 months total for a friend of mine from San Diego to get his citizenship.

Did any May filers in NYC had interviewed yet? I had my interview at Federal Plaza on Aug 20th and I'm still waiting on oath letter.

Not sure what happen with the reply......but I did my interview at Federal Plaza in NYC on 8/11 and had my oath ceremony on 9/11

I feel like a staples commercial with the red button: "Well that was easy" lol

Got to the Chicago officer really early, at like 9:45 appointment was only 10:30. within 15 minutes they called my name, followed the lady and swore to tell the truth. Sat down and she immediately said she was goidn to do the civics test first.

She asked me:

Who wrote the declaration of Independence

Name 3 of the original 13 colonies

who is the commander and chief of the military

what is the presidents party

what two parties are part of congress

I can't remember the last one.

She had me read "the people elect congress" and then write that same sentence.

Went of my app asked if I had any new documents to give, said she was recommending me for approval as my case was simple and straight forward and to wait 2-4 weeks more likely 2 for my oath letter and that it would be in the same building.

I went to a garage around the corner paid for parking and was gouged for 25$..OUCH. They charge you the whole day even if your only there an hour.

So glad that's finally over!

Ok,hopefully we get a reply soon. My sister in law had her interview on August 11th and she sworn in on Sept 11th.
