Hello everyone,

I had my N400 interview today morning.

It was eventful before I got to the interview. On the way to the USCIS office we got a flat tire. Talk about timing. My wife who had accompanied me stayed with the car calling roadside assistance. I got taxi to pick me up and take me to the USCIS office.

I barely made it on time. Handed over the letter and the green card. They noted in their system and asked me to wait for the officer to call me.

Before I took a seat I was called in. The officer introduced himself. Very professional and nice guy. He took me inside to the interviewing area where they had all the office rooms.He told me he would be doing the interview and made me take the oath.

He first asked for my Green card, Drivers license and Passport. On his table there was a big bundle of all the documents that I have sent to USCIS.

Once we were seated, he gave me a preview of what steps he was going to do. As the first step he asked me the 6 civic questions which i answered correctly.

After that he asked me to read a sentence. Then write another sentence.

Then he said we will review the N400 application. He went through the application step by step asking me every question ensuring that all the information in the application was right. He didnt ask me any other documents.

After that he made me sign a couple of documents and the front of the photographs I had sent with the application

Once that was done, he said congratulations and that he was recommending me for approval. He said I will have to take the oath ceremony and the next available time slot of oath ceremony I could attend was on Thursday 08/20. I decided to take that day. He said I will have wait outside until my name is called to get the Oath ceremony letter. He then walked me out to the waiting area.

The whole thing lasted about 15 mins.

It took about 45 mins to get the letter. Its scheduled for 08/20/2015 AM.

Congrats to everyone who completed their interview and received oath letter. I am wondering why some people received their oath letter immediately after interview or shortly there after while others are placed in line for oath ceremony and have to wait for weeks/months to take the oath. In my case there have been 1 ceremony since my approval and there will be another one on the 30th of August, still no date for me yet!

Could it be that they are assigning dates based on country of origin? You know, kinda have as many country as possible represented in each session

Any thoughts on this theory will be appreciated

i agree with you. It has to do with location and population size maybe. New Jersey does the oath same day, New York you have to wait and this is the worse wait i think. I think it boils down to luck, even in your own district, which IO has your file.

Hi got my Interview letter last Monday 8/10 for 9/10 Interview unfortunately i will be out of the country on that interview date so i returned the letter and asked fporre scheduled. Now i am waiting inline again. maybe someone can put a note in my timeline. Thanks

56 july 2 - received notice for interview 8/8 @10:25am
73 july 19 - ead approved, card ordered for production
79 july 25 - ead picked up by usps

93 aug 8 - interview at NBC SF , For further review and Security clearance

40 june 17 - called USCIS and talked to Tier 2 and was able to get my receipt number to monitor my status online.

2015/05/23- I-797 received

2015/05/30 - biometrics appointment for June 08 (early walk-in)

2015/07/08 - interview notice

2015/08/10 - received interview letter for 9/10 but ask to reschedule

Talking about agonizing wait?? Hear this. Since my finger print on 6/16 nothing has moved. My online status is still Case Received. Opening every single email or text or every single piece of letter in the mailbox with hope. Nothing so far... :( I dont know if there is anyone else in May 2015 filers who is as far behind as my status. :(

I sent my application on April 30th. I only got the receipt notice from May 5th. No fingerprints, no mail, nothing....

I have added your info to the list! If you look close the other members with the same field office as yours already have their interview dates! I suggest you call USCIS or schedule an info-pass appointment to figure out the delay! Let us know what you find out.

tjsmkl I'm on the same situation as you. I've been waiting in the mail and my e-mail everyday. I had my fingerprinting june 5th and until now I still havent got any news for the interview date. My interview location is in Dallas too. I called them and the lady told me Dallas Office Field is processing the Oct. 2014 and maybe ours will sneak in with them. As what the lady told me :(

Thanks. I saw your status was same as mine. Probably yours mine and my wife's are all stuck with the same officer. Did you notice all the three Dallas field office entries from Jun 2015 filers have already got interview dates.?? That is depressing... :(

My feeling is some officers like to do things right a way and don't procrastinate. Others believe tomorrow is guarantee and wait it out until last minute. So it is all luck. I find it frustrating and the wait is unbearable

Had my interview today. I probably spent more time waiting before and after (for Oath Ceremony letter) than in the actual interview lol. Thankful to have completed the process :)
