Update: Arrived about 30 mins before, checked in and waited. The officer called my name and brought to a room. Sworn in and seated. I was asked 6 questions, like who wrote the declaration of independence? name three of 13 original states. Who is the chief of military? Name one state that borders with Mexico, etc all in the book. I was a bit nervous, plus my interviewer had a very strong accent. Read and write were easy, simple. And I was asked about those questions that we submitted. I had my name chagned, got the document print out. I was told to wait 2 weeks for the oath ceremony appointment. So sometimes in August, it's gonna be big group, up to 120 people. I got a paper from the officer, saying I had paased. It was about 15 mins.

Well I think I am done with USCIS...lol.

I arrived around 7:30 there was only 2 ppl in front of me, then ppl start arriving and name by name they were called I was kind of upset that I was arrived way before some and they were still called before me. I was told that I had to wait for a special officer and around 8:45 he called my name and we went to a different office than the offices they would normally take ppl. He went through my application and asked me some questions from the application itself. Afterwards he started asking me question.

How many voting members in the house of representatives ?

Who is the father of our country?

Who's the chief of justice?

When we vote for the president?

Name one war the US fought in the 1900s?

I don't remember the last question, then he gave me a paper with " Who was george washington ?" and told me to read it and asked me to write " Washington was the first president". After that he started filling some document and gave me 2 documents, first one is the approval document and the 2nd is the invitation for the ceremony this afternoon (in 2 hours) which starts around 1:30 PM.

He advised me to stop by the Social security office to change my status and go after that to SIA to obtain my 2 passports (Regular and Diplomatic) because I am leaving this Sunday.

... And that was it for the day.

Can't wait to get my US PASSPORT...Yay !!

You are better off than Dallas field office. Has the largest back log. After my finger print on 6/16, my status has still not moved to in-line... Wondering why cant they centralize the processing so that excess bandwidth from other centers can be used to ease the Dallas load.

My husband had an interview at 1:45 pm at Philadelphia office today. There is a parking lot for $12 in front of the building.

My husband passed English and history test, but was told that a decision cannot be made at this time and that he will get a letter in the mail for additional documentation. Most of the questions were about our marriage, how we met, when we met, dob of my kids, etc. My husband forgot the dob of my 20 year old that is in college (out of state), but he did answer what college she goes to. He was asked a lot of questions about my 12 year old. So the interview was much more stressful that the one we had when originally applied for green card.

The officer asked why did my husband overstated his J 1 visa.

The officer asked for a bank statement, when my husband gave it her she asked why only the last one? We sent three years of bank statements alredy. She said that she has tax transcripts(we sent originals with an application and kept the copy).

So now we have to wait for the letter and then reply in 30 days. I am sure we have everything that they can ask for. It is just why do they need it, if they have a huge file already with all proof.

So, this was our experience today.

by the way I didn't get any notification by email or phone text even I have asked for it..notification had been received only when my app was recaived by uscis.

one question please..my status doesn't say you are in line for interview..just says you have scheduled for interview..is it same ?

Received text message of receipt and email notification on 5/4/2015

Check Cashed on 5/5/2015

Received biometrics letter on 5/15/2015

Biometrics done on 5/28/2015

Waiting for the interview letter

I have a question...we are trying to find our case status online but are unable to create an account or log in

We have the receipt number but all that says is that they have received our application and we should be getting a letter in the mail...its been on that status since our paperwork was accepted. I don't remember creating an account so I went on creating an account and it said that the email was already registered...so i did forget username and password and found out those..but now everytime i try to log in it says error contact technical support...

did anyone else experience this? where did i go wrong?

I am not sure how to add myself in the list?!?!

My husband is applying under the 3 year rule

Applied at the Dallas Lockbox Facility

GC date is 02/08/2012

We sent the N400 package on 4/29/2015

Received text message of receipt and email notification on 5/4/2015

Check Cashed on 5/5/2015

Received biometrics letter on 5/15/2015

Biometrics done on 5/28/2015

Waiting for the interview letter

I have a question...we are trying to find our case status online but are unable to create an account or log in

We have the receipt number but all that says is that they have received our application and we should be getting a letter in the mail...its been on that status since our paperwork was accepted. I don't remember creating an account so I went on creating an account and it said that the email was already registered...so i did forget username and password and found out those..but now everytime i try to log in it says error contact technical support...

did anyone else experience this? where did i go wrong?

Hi faki, have you tried using the "forgot my password or username" method to reset your account? You can also create a new account.

When did you receive your NOA in the mail? Also you can use the link below to locate your field office by scrolling down to the map and selecting your state. Good luck to you.

You can! But it is not mandatory, in fact the interview notice is meant for the applicant!
