I didnt get a notificacion email but I checked online status and it said a interview was scheduled on July 8th. I got a letter yesterday and interview is scheduled for 8/12 !!!

How long does it usually take after the interview to do the oath?

08/15/04 - Came to US with a student visa (F1)

10/15/05 - Met Hubby at school.

08/11/07 - Got Married!!!

10/04/07 - Applied for I-130 (I wasn't well informed, so we didn't send I765,I131 or I485!!!)

04/22/08 - Sent I-485, I-765, I-131

05/14/08 - Biometrics Appointment

07/01/08 - Received AP Documents

07/07/08 - Received EAD card

08/14/08 - Received Approval for I-130

10/27/08 - AOS interview in Atlanta

11/28/08 - Received letter from USCIS. You're Aproved.. Card production Ordered!

12/04/08 - Received welcome letter, NOA2

12/11/08 - Received GC on the mail

I'm very happy!!! Hubby and I are going to visit my family for Christmas!!! YAAAY!

I didnt get a notificacion email but I checked online status and it said a interview was scheduled on July 8th. I got a letter yesterday and interview is scheduled for 8/12 !!!

How long does it usually take after the interview to do the oath?

As far I've seen, it takes normally 4-5 weeks max after interview to do oath ceremony.

Hello VJ,

My husband got a speeding ticket last month ( actually on his way back from Biometrics- figures) anyway, he paid it immediatly. It was his first ticket so no points were issued. His citizenship test in scheduled for Aug 5th, does he have to bring in proof that he paid the ticket?

Also, I'm aware that they ask the 10 civis questions, but the other questions asked, are they the questions listed at the end of the N400 application? The ones that ask " have you ever been associated with a terroist group or have you ever plotted against the US, etc"?

Hi All,

So I got a email notification saying that I have been scheduled for the Interview and they will mail me a notice regarding the same. I am guessing the mail should arrive in next few days.

Got home from vacation to find my interview letter had arrived in the meantime. Interview scheduled for Aug 14, notice dated July 9. Received email notification of upgrade July 8. Don't know when the actual letter arrived.

1- Yes; he should definitely take proof with him... it's just a piece of paper, surely it makes sense to just have him carry it with him just in case. According to the USCIS rules, he shouldn't have to provide proof for a minor traffic violation, but people regularly end up with delays at the interview or the oath for failing to report or provide proof for citations.

2- They can ask anything on the application... usually they go through the entire application quickly but they may also just they verify the bio data and then skip to the yes/no questions at the end.
