I submitted a few COPIES of wedding pictures, of us together at the reception, and of course a certified copy of the marriage certificate. Sending the pictures might have been overkill as I supplied them with a certified copy of the marriage certificate but then again those were only copies/duplicate pictures of the wedding and reception so it only strengthened the case. But if you do send pictures DO NOT send the original pictures!

No, you shouldn't need to send that sort of thing. If they want to see it, they'll ask you for it at your interview.

We submitted a few pictures from our wedding and a few pictures with us and my family when we traveled to my stepfather's funeral. We also submitted other marriage bonafides such as life insurance beneficiary documents, health and dental insurance, credit card account with both names.

My thinking was that it might help to get an approval without interview. We did, however, end up being interviewed.

Nope, we did not send anything like that. And we got approved without interview. Go figure.

I don't think the Oklahoma City office ever has much of a backlog. I don't think they forward any applications for approval without interview.

I've come to a couple of purely personal and admittedly conjectured thoughts about how DHS decides a case doesn't need an interview for AOS.

Number One - Perhaps a glance at the CO's notes from the visa interview.

Number Two - They have decided that the interests of national security are more important than marital bonafides. In other words, if they can clear the petitions from the pipeline of petitioners whose namecheck is clear, they will do it.

Nope. Just the affidavit of support supporting evidence, the required passport picture and required forms.

No, we didn't. They don't ask for it until the interview so I think it's best not to clog up your packet with irrelevant information, just stick with what the evidence they want now and bring that kind of stuff to your interview
