I haven't seen this wording, either. Generally when CSC receives your case, you get an e-mail stating, "Your case is now pending at California Service Center."

It doesn't seem unheard of that they might have sent the wrong message, but that's not an e-mail that I'm familiar with.

Anyone else?

Prolly someone clicked a wrong button. Had that happen on my daughter's case, stating they received undelivered mail returned, whereas in fact, they had received the requested rfe, it was fixed up a few days later and the correct email was sent..

This is the email that is received when your case is returned by the Consulate/Embassy abroad to the USCIS office where it was originally filed. This happens when a visa is refused but not denied.

By looking at your time line, this is obviously a mistake if your fiance (now spouse) came here on a fiance visa. Sometimes I really question whether the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.

If it's convenient to do so, this might be a good time to schedule an Infopass appointment.

I would definitely agree with that. Even though this email isn't saying they sent you a notice requesting more information or something like that, if you can swing the info pass appt, it is a good idea.

There is always a hard copy mailed to you. Wait for that to see if it's the same notice.

In the case of CSC receiving your file (not the initial notice of being transferred to CSC) there is no hard copy mailed, only an email saying your case is now pending at CSC.

There's also a chance if their case is transferred to CSC, they'll get approved without an interview. That's the trend I've been noticing.
