this is really depressing ? no case complete so far from what I know, most are being put to supervisor review if over 30 days and this thing going on with this system is really frustrating. I was really hoping to get a CC end of this month. ? Oh well, hope next week will be a better one.

I just saw this on facebook.....

Visa issuances at all U.S. consulates abroad have stalled out worldwide due to a computer hardware failure. The consulates cannot transfer information to DHS for security background checks of foreign applicants needed for visa issuance. There are a few exceptions for emergencies, but the large majority of visa interviews are being rescheduled. The problem should be fixed sometime this week, and then clearing out the backlog will be the next problem. This is a bit of a disaster for everyone.

Woke up to a checklist this morning. Well, two actually. One was for our assets, for which NVC says we need to bring a joint sponsorship form to the interview for councilor review. That one is ok, because it's for the interview and before sending in our documents, I had already spoken to the embassy in Stockholm about most of the assets being in my name in Sweden.

But then we get a checklist for a flipping ZERO!!! This is like the most ridiculous checklist ever. It's so stupid, I'm gonna actually call them today and see if we can overturn it somehow. My husband have had zero income for the past few years so by question 13 we wrote "not required to file taxed as per statement", which they were fine with, and then we wrote the same just above question 13a, 13b and 13c. For those questions, it says write your income as reported on your federal tax return and since my husband didn't file a tax return we left it blank. Then in the statement my husband explains why he wasn't required to file taxes and that his income has been zero for the past three years. So the zero income is in the signed and dated statement. But now we have to send in a new i-864 with zero written in box 13a, 13b and 13c and loose 30 more days because of it. I HATE NVC!!! :ranting:

Yes, received two emails about it this morning, one for each checklist. I guess because only one need to be fixed now, the other goes to the embassy.

Hey guys my baby and I had our medical last June 15-16, everything went well thank goodness. I got the cc confirmation email last Thursday July 18. I hope this week will bring a good luck in our cases regarding the interview schedule. I heard that technical visa issue and it's true. My friend had her interview approved last week and said wait 1-3weeks for the visa issuance. I hope things will back to normal when it's our time hehe.

Good luck to all those still waiting for cc. Hang in there. Keep your faith high. Godbless :)

Scan Date May 18th, i just called NVC and the operator kept my case under supervisor review, told me " it would take max 42 days but it wont take that much " ..

but i think it is definitely going to take almost 20-30 days now........this is so frustrating....its been already 34 days from the original scan date and now this new counter starts from today...... :(

I just got off with the NVC,scan date May 18th,Rep says it should be completed anytime from now.says I should call back next week Thursday.is she trying to be kind?

Our scan date is also May 18th. I've heard from a couple of other people on VJ with the same scan date who also hadn't heard anything, when they called NVC, they were told they had checklists and to wait for the information. So now I'm freaking out that just because we didn't hear within the 30 day timeframe, it means we're getting a checklist too....

Joechima, I think in your case, if you had gotten a checklist, they would have told you on the phone. I really really hate the NVC stage, it's definitely the worst part of the visa journey so far because so many people seem to be getting checklists... I'm calling Monday, which will be day 35.
