I'm so sad. I just got off the phone with the NVC and it seems we are getting a checklist for the Affidavit of support. the guy sd there was some information that needed to be updated on the affidavit of support and I asked is it a checklist and he sd yes but we will send you an email with the details. OMFG are you serious? We hired an atty. We paid $2000 dollars for her services. Money we didn't even had and we moved across the world to get it. she didnt even filed the forms I did and she just reviewed them. the only form she filed was the AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT AND ITS F*KING WRONG!!!!!!!!!! I MEAN HOW STUPID CAN SHE BE? SHE WORKS on this she should know better than me, now to wait extra 30 days....!!!

Sorry to hear that !!! I saw already like more than one person with the same problem. i don't really trust lawyers. some of them are there only for money. Daveadams i hope you get a quick response . and one advice try not to check or call everyday it will stress you more. i m sure it will be faster this time. just let your atty know about it so she can start fixing it ! Relax, i know its frustrating but if this gets to you, you will lose. Just hope that it wont hafto be 30 days.

Same thing happen to us on May 13 and I called and the NVC rep told me exactly what I need to fix and I overnight the new AOS on May 13 and they received it on May 14- I didn't received my checklist email until 5 days after. Maybe you should try to call and try to fix it before the email since it may take long, because is another 30 days- sorry ? I know how it feels I got a checklist after 26 days and I'm working with a attorney! ???

Hi VJers, I called this morning and the lady was so patient with me, but she said my two cased are ALMOST complete, and that the beneficiary will need to bring the 2014 TAX information to the interview..Please what's that mean? Is that mean CC? and the interview will follow?. I hope So. My SD is 04/24

Almost is not quite complete yet but why did she tell you that you would be bringing the TAX info to interview? I would spend another hour and call and talk to another one to clear that out. However if its not complete it will in a day or two.

Regarding your 2014 TAX you would need to bring the transcripts or the extension and seems in your case the latter. That should do I believe.

After your case is complete you will then obviously wait for them to schedule your interview, hopefully Ghana doesn't take forever.

Update:

Interview date has been changed to June 4th per ustraveldocs. NVC sent package to Manila on May 21st.

I hope the people we entrust with our family life could be more conscious about it but unfortunately that's not always the case. Mine is to say, sorry but don't look at the past failures, could/would have are not the option right now for you. Get what they need right away and go over it a few times to make sure its good and send it right away. Good luck!

Its been 36 days since my CC should I call to see if they have an interview date?. Called last week and was told they would email me once they have a slot so I'm not sure if I should call back.

we also have a lawyer, he cost us 85 days he did something wrong on the AOS and I told him before filing, he still did it wrong

we filed at jan 12th and got a checklist on april 7th, imagine that lol
