It seem like a matter of luck or something! some people are just out of there in matter of weeks

Actually yeah, I saw someone complain because his case had been at NVC for a total of 100 days until it was in transit. That's like complaining because you wanted your coffee at 6am but it wasn't served until 6:02am... while most others don't get their coffee before 9am :-P

Hi everyone, does a petitioner needs a joint sponsor if he or she is making more than the household income requirements. Household of 5 is $35,512 and my total income for both jobs is $48,505, reported on my tax transcript, but $43,010 is my adjustment gross income. So I don't understand why consular said we need a joint sponsor, she doesn't even look through the whole transcript. I hope she will by the time we go to our next appointment.

I keep calling every week for the last 5 weeks, they keep saying the same thing that our case is "in final review". They received my checklist response on Aug 28th and scanned it on Sep 3rd.

What does this mean? Does this mean that my file is on queue for a supervisor to review, before its marked complete?

They keep saying same thing to keep waiting, but I worry they have just set it aside unnecessarily.

Any suggestions?

TrustG how are u?it's been a while, hope ur husband interview went well

Yes joechima by God's grace I went with my husband and his interview went well, only that the consular is mean a minor mistakes on our ds260 which the nvc said we can correct it at the interview, she refuse to do it and open it for us to correct it which I did right away, so they gave him another day to come with a new affidavit of support with joint sponsor which I found it strange because my income is way higher than the poverty line requirement. So I have attached new AOS and employment verification with another tax transcript and I highlight all my income on my w2 and 1099 and my transcript from irs with a letter explaining my income for him to take it on his next appointment, but I'm already back to U.S. because I have to go back to work.

So how far with urs too.let's continue to pray God is greater than our problems, with him all things are possible.

Hello!

Thank you very much!

The Consular Officer was a polite and professional lady, and the interview went like:

Oath - raise your right hand….
CO - Bom dia! Tudo bem? Do you speak English?
me - Bom dia! Yes, I do
(from now on the interview was only in english)
-What does your husband do?
- (i told his profession)
- How did you meet your husband?
- (i told a short history)
- And then, what happened?
- (so I told the long history until we get married, and the first 2 years of marriage)
- Congratulations, your visa was approved!

I wrote a review in the Rio de Janeiro-Brazil consulate page, if you want to read it complete, here:

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Brazil&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

Best of luck!

Congrats!!! So happy for you :)

I called again today. During previous calls they kept saying "your file is final stages, final review"

This time they said that "my file was sent to a supervisor to review on October 1st"

I asked how long will it be before the supervisor competes their review, he said "1-45 days".

Is everybody going through a supervisor review? or is my application one of the unlucky ones?

Our case was sent to supervisor review in August 31,we got the interview October 3rd .I think we all go to supervisor review at some point in the nvc but i think they are doing great job keeping up. Every time I sent documents to them it took only 20 days or less to review it and the supervisor review only took A little less than 40days .

OH MY GOD I see 3 N/A after an operator left a note on the supervisors desk this morning

my scan date is july 6 and it's a checklist. My first scan date was May 11

I called more than a hundred times before and this morning, I again asked to talk to Sylvia who again wasn't there, but apparently the operator did leave a note on her desk this time

Thank you for all the advice I found on this forum. I hope people who are experiencing long delays like me will finally get their cases reviewed; I think the best way to speak to a supervisor is to ask for a name in particular and know if that person is in a morning or evening shift
