I have a question about documents for the interview. I already provided a copy of my divorce in our application (I'm the US petitioner). Will my husband need to take CERTIFIED documents of my divorce to the interview? Someone told me they only want proof of an APPLICANT'S divorce/divorces.

If you submitted a copy of the applicant's divorce to USCIS\NVC, then interviewing officer could potentially ask for the certified original. You should take Birth/Marriage/Divorce originals to interview.

Okay, my husband has an original birth certificate for me. and an original marriage certificate. So to play it safe, I'll get a certified copy of my divorce, though that's going to be difficult. I have scanned copies, but not one that's certified.

My scand date was Aug 6th, case approve Aug 26th - so another case with only 20 days. I hope that this trend is something permanent!

Decide if it's worth the hassle. They might not ask for the certified original, but if they do so at interview, it'll delay your visa.

I don't want to risk a delay in our visa process. What should be small delays can turn into waiting marathons, so I should go ahead and request the original. It'll be an archive hand search through "real" files. The divorce was in 1986.

Folks, It seems the NVC phone services has improved ? Because I pressed 1 & 7 and i'm speaking with a lady Rep, Is that how it is now? I have not call NVC for a while.....CC 07/23 , Still waiting for interview date...According to her the September schedule is complete today, and the October should start by next week.

You can't trust this NVC reps. I got my interview letter via email yesterday and it was dated 08/26/2015. My interview is on 09/16/15. meanwhile I got this same script about September scheduling being over last Friday when I called about my interview. By the way my CC was 06/24/15.

Finally, finally, FINALLY got my case complete!!!! Just got off the phone with a different supervisor who got my other shitty supervisor to review my form over the phone and complete my case. I AM SO HAPPY!!!!

Original Scan Date 1st May 2015. Scan Date for checklist 22nd July 2015. Case Complete 28th August 2015.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. We have been waiting for someone to review our DS-260 after a checklist for three months and they are saying we have to wait until at least the end of September to get any new info as the case was sent to a supervisor only a week ago and not 50+ days ago as two separate people on the phone promised us before.

Are you calling every other day? Demand to speak to another supervisor if yours isn't available and ask them to tell you if the supervisor has your form. Be forceful with them! I was blatantly lied to for 2 weeks by the reps until I finally got thru to my supervisor again and she said nothing had even changed since my case went to supervisor review. That was yesterday and I called again today and she reviewed it over the phone. If you badger them enough and make it clear you know they're doing a shitty job, they're more likely to do something.

Thank you for your message! We've been calling from time to time, not every other day, cause we honestly thought that they have deadlines and that if person tells us she will forward our case to her supervisor she is going to do exactly that. And then another person promised us to do that, and then a third one said that yes, our case was already with the supervisor, when it wasn't even close to that. That's just crazy that people can do that.

We are totally going to be calling all the time now, I'm all for being nice to people, but that's too much.
