Our 3rd N/A appeared on August 5th. We've not got an email yet and the CEAC website still says "at NVC". My brother and mother are bigots and Islamaphobic, messed up people. Today my brother sent me a text saying, "Someone called both mom and me today asking questions about your husband. After what we told em, don't plan on ur husband getting a visa." then another text, "A muslim arab isn't Gods will for your life." Our visa application process has been going on since early September 2014 and apparently our case is finally complete. Would NVC call relatives of mine at this point to ask questions about my husband!?!?

Our visa application process has been going on since early September 2014 and apparently our case is finally complete. Would NVC call relatives of mine at this point to ask questions about my husband!?!?

Update: After being on hold for an awfully long time, I was able to talk to someone at NVC. My case was in fact complete on the 5th and no one at NVC called anyone in relation to our case. But she said there's a confusing note that there's something more they need, which we should take to the interview, but it doesn't say what. She said she's going to send a note to a supervisor to ask that what is needed be specified in our file. She said to call back in a week and hopefully that item will be specified. I was hoping our case would be in transit by this time next week.

So after talking to someone at NVC I faced the dread of calling my MOM to inform her I know no-one from NVC made any calls about my husband and I. She said it wasn't from them, the call was from the FBI. I have no idea what to believe where she and my brother are concerned.

Ok , woww that sound like a case of racism.

You dont have to worry about anything if the FBI have any problem with yoyr husband the case would not have came this far that is one and 2: there is no way that is how the FBI works lol .

I believe its just scare tactics your family trying to pull of and 80% chance that someone from your family contacted the nvc regarding your case or even send email of Made up stuff about your husband to delay the case a bit more .it happens in arabian culture often .when amarican arab man or women marries some one from over seas and the family don't agree or don't like it they would do anything possible to stop it even if they have to send emails and letters to where eve your case is , sry to tell you that is why most likely your case at supervisor review , and the doc they will ask for i think it going to be something that dis proof whateve false info they received from who eve.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. Thanks for concurring. If somehow my family manages to cause my husband to not come to the USA, they're going to lose me. I'd have to close my business down, but I would do it to go live with him somewhere else in the world and wouldn't give them my contact information. I'm going to be freaking out until I find out what it is the supervisor wants from us now.

My agent is the one who told me that it happens alot , and he told me the best way to avoid it is to keep every thing a A secret until the interview is over with and the visa is in hand because even if someone just jealous could cause you problems in this very sensitive process.I would advise to inform your friends or family and everyone around you that the case has been closed and that you need to restart the petition all over again, that way you keep everyone off your case until everything is over with. And make it believable that your case is closed so no one would Keep trying to dig behind you .

That's so scary! I know someone who's fiance's family searched his room, found where he hid his package he was going to take to his K1 interview and ripped it up. I should have never told my family about this! I'm hating myself for such a huge blunder.

Yesterday I called NVC and was told, though our case completed August 5th, she was seeing a note on our case that something else is needed, but we can take it to the interview. She said it doesn't specify what the item is, though normally that is listed. She said she'd send a note to the supervisor who reviewed our check list, to ask that the needed item be specified, and we should get an email informing us. Today we received an email notifying us that the case complete date was August 5th, but no mention of one more needed item that we should take to the interview. I'm worried. I wonder if there'll be another email with this information. My biggest worry is, what could this one thing be?
