Claclaa,

I hope your SR takes less than 42 days. Did they tell you what they haven't reviewed? Did they review your DS260 before sending you the checklist? I have heard that it is taking them longer than usual to review ds260s.

Hey guys,

I just called the NVC and the operator put me on supervisor review, says my case should have been reviewed by now (checklist scan date july 6)

says it can take up to 42 extra days (starting today)

I feel doomed, we started the process with USCIS on April 2014

congrats !!

claclaa, sorry about that, but have faith and be strong, everything will be good soon. I started this process with USCIS in May 2014, and just got my final CC on July 23 ,2015....So you will shortly be there

Claclaa,

I hope your SR takes less than 42 days. Did they tell you what they haven't reviewed? Did they review your DS260 before sending you the checklist? I have heard that it is taking them longer than usual to review ds260s.

We sent the package and got a first scan date on May 11.

On june 30 we received two checklists :

one for the ds-260 ( i only submitted it on june 23 due to a system issue)

one for my joint sponsor's i-864

[x] I-864, Affidavit of Support Checklist
[x] In Part 3, Information on the Immigrant(s) You are sponsoring, please correct the following...
[x] Item 7. The total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 must equal the number of immigrants listed in Part 3, Items
1 through 6.f. In addition, you must also verify that the total number of immigrants listed in Item 7 matches the number you
entered in Part 5 Item1.

So my mother-in-law sent a new i-864 (without all the documents previously attached to the i-864 though, because they already have them)

Then on july 28 we received this checklist

"The NVC has received the requested DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application. However, we are still
waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Affidavit of Support. Please return the requested
information so that we may complete your case."
This new checklist was dated july 6 (the date of our new scan date).
I called an operator that day who told me "ignore that, case not reviewed yet"
My mother-in-law called and was told the same thing this is just a computer generated letter saying that they have not yet processed the new forms so it is not in the system that it has been done."
Today I called the NVC and was put on supervisor review

Our first SD was Feb 11th...our first checklist came after 62days.. I got CC on 10th July....and the CC email on 17th July!!! I hate to remember the pain.. but we got through nevertheless! At the end, we almost requested an SR, gladly we did not, and got a CC on the 36th day... as in 6 days from the regular 30days...We have two files.. When you are not so far past the regular 30 days...its good to wait... its not advisable to go into SR.

oh sorry you had to wait for so long, I'm happy you finally got CC, when is your interview?

I told the operator "dont put me into supervisor review ! i might get reviewed tomorrow"

but she said that she had to, that i wouldn't get reviewed otherwise.

I think i did get reviewed on july 28, because the title of the checklist email is the date of my new scanned date (july 6)

but the checklist didn't make sense...

and two operators said it was a false checklist so my mother in law and I believed that

This is absurd. :ranting: It seems as if they just reviewed the cases in random order. So if Claclaa hadn't called at all, would they have just forgotten about her case??? Why do we have to keep calling in order for them to do their work?

I wish to spend a day in their offices and see what the operators actually see on their screen

I wish i had recorded all these phone conversations with the contradicting info they gave me at every phone call, i could have edit it for Youtube or something

maybe that would force them to improve their service

THE 3RD N/A HAS APPEARED! :goofy:

After 50 days of our check list documents stagnating, it was sent to a supervisor July 28th. I've not been able to stop myself from obsessively looking at our case many times every day since then. This morning at 10:30am it was still 2 N/A and a "PAID". I just looked again 2 hours later and "paid" has changed to N/A

I have a feeling they just ignore until you call multiple times.

We submitted ds260 almost two months ago, but two weeks later still received a checklist. We responded to the checklist right away, but no response from NVC. After waiting and waiting, we sent a follow up email 30 days later, but still nothing.

So I called NVC twice last week, they asked me to wait a bit longer. Finally called again today, agent said you are past the review time, so they put me on a 42-day Supervisor Review.

If I hadn't called, I think our case would still be languishing. :clock:

Same for us :joy:

I'm wondering if cases are faster when processed in the order asked by NVC, it seems to be common for those who submit the documents prior to paying the IV fee to get checklists and 45 day waits advised by NVC (they advised us of a 30 day wait)?

We sent AOS fee, then IV fee and DS-260 and then submitted the IV/AOS supporting documents together in one package lastly.
