Quick question: Does anyone know approximately how long after interview one usually gets their visa and are able to travel (assuming the interview goes well)? Thanks in advance!

Hi jenahrae,

Did you get your interview date? To what I have gathered from a few who have actually gone through NRB they were able to get their passports/visa in one week. We are debating of purchasing a ticket ahead of time ten days after the interview but scared of "if something happens".

Hi,

Here's our timeline below; AOS/IV packages received at the NVC & scanned on 24 April 2015. Last call (1 May 2015) the rep said it is taking 30 days to review. I also had to submit the DS-261 twice... they lost the first one but (no surprise) accepted the payment, and didn't tell me it was lost until early April. Suggest that people who submitted any documentation and/or payments in late February call, call, call and push very gently just to be sure.

They fixed my problem Friday, so I should be capable of paying this week but I'm 100% sure the reason mine wasn't working is different from yours so it's really weird this happen to us both .

Hello Everyone,

Congratulations on getting approved or having set up your interview date.

I had a very naive question, especially for the ones who just crossed the border or are about you... Once your visa is approved and stamped.. and you are getting ready to cross the border, do you need any documents (other than your visa in the passport and the sealed envelope they give you)?

What i mean is, remember for your interview you have those HUGE files you must have prepared with all the documents, Skype calls, photos, etc etc etc..whatever your stuff included and made into those HUGE binders… for the interview and then you realize they don't need anything. LOL. So when you cross the border through immigration do you need this BIG binders or can you put it away in the BIG suitcases… I am just trying to pack, to leave and its becoming a nightmare. :girlwerewolf2xn:

I have 12 days and counting…..woohooo… hopefully crossing the border isn't painful.
