This is day #50 since our checklist was scanned. After calling 10 times, I finally got through and put on hold for over a half hour. I just talked to a real person, and she told me our checklist still hasn't been looked at, so she's sending it to a supervisor today. She said to call back in 2 weeks to see what's going on. I've read posts here in VJ concerning supervisor reviews which has confused me. From what I gather, when a case is sent to a supervisor, this means it's going to be at least another 30 to 45 days?

Thank Goodness! My wife had her interview in Hong Kong yesterday (28 July) and was informed that the visa has been granted. She has to wait for about 2 weeks - which seems excessively long to me - to get her passport & packet back, but at least we have been successful and will all be together very soon! Happy, happy.

Yes it's true, but keep praying sometimes it doesn't take that long, ours took 8 days in supervisor's review and we got our cc.

8 weeks! Oh my gosh, that's awful. It's been over 10 months since we first started this visa process. The waiting is an endless torment.

I've read posts here in VJ concerning supervisor reviews which has confused me. From what I gather, when a case is sent to a supervisor, this means it's going to be at least another 30 to 45 days?

Our scan date is April 21 and so far we have not had anything reviewed. After the 30 day waiting period we were placed under supervisor review, which is supposed to take 42 days at the max. After 45 days there was no action taken in our case, and so it was flagged for supervisor review again, restarting the counter. Presently we are at 98 days waiting for action to be taken on our case.

Some people have their cases looked at almost immediately (a few days) after being placed on supervisor review. Some take weeks. In rare cases, you get people like me who get lost in the system. I recommend you call a few times a week to check up on what's happening, if possible. What I do is call exactly when they open at 7am EST. Usually I will be on hold for less than 30 seconds before speaking to someone.

If you need any tips on how to get through, let me know. I've been calling for a long time now.

My eyes need checked, I had to go back and read it again. :-P I'm glad I read "8 days" wrong.

ArroTG, I'm sorry for what you're going through! NVC is so incompetent. When I look at cases that have finished and got their visa, I'm baffled at how random the time frames have been from application to visa.. Anywhere from 195 days to 500+ days. it looks like some glide quickly right though the whole process, while others run into all sort of snags. Some seem to fall though the cracks and have to fight tooth and nail to get their cases finished. We're at 333 days and counting. I've actually been losing a lot of hair and dealing with other stress related physical issues over the misery of waiting for my husband.

I see 3 N/As as of July 23 (scan date is June 23 for a checklist). Don't have the email from NVC yet, but I suppose that is CC?

Lucky you! :-) You never see 3 N/As until your case is complete. I yearn for the day I see that 3rd N/A too!

So as soon as I posted this, we received checklist #2 for the I-864EZ :( Am pretty sure it's a false checklist (asking for IRS tax return that we sent in the first time).

What confuses me is one page of the email says to send the docs in to NVC (IRS tax info we sent originally) "your case is on hold until you send the docs we need", but the next page says to make sure the applicant has the docs for the interview and not send anything to NVC, wait for the interview date "do not send updated docs to NVC. After we schedule the interview, we will send you an appointment letter".

Am really hoping its the latter not the former. Any insights? Again, I have 3 N/As so I am thinking I just need to bring "missing docs" to the interview.
