It's been 31 days since the scan date on our checklist documents. After about an hour of frustration I was able to talk to a real person at NVC. We had a bad connection and he was so cranky about it. I told him I was checking on our case status. He said, "Mame, your scan date was June 10th. You have to allow 30 days...you have to give nvc THIRTY DAYS from your scan date before you check on your status." I told him this is day number 31, I did wait the full 30 days. So he looked at the case and said the documents haven't been reviewed yet, call back in a few days. We've gone into the 11th month since we applied for the visa. I've become so depressed, it's hard to make myself stick to my routines. My life is on HOLD as the seasons are coming and going, waiting to start a life with my husband. I'm sure you know exactly how I feel. :clock:

Visa was ready for pick up November 3rd in the afternoon

CASE COMPLETE!!!! after 73 days!!!

so what I did - i got through to supervisor, she said that she will have a look at our case... i called a day later - and got great news!!!!

I AM SOOO HAPPY

!!! I am so happy for you! It's finally time for you to move on to the next stage and get ready for your interview. :)

I hope that I have similar good luck. I spoke with a supervisor today about my case, too. She sent an email to her management to ask them to look at my case.

Take today and enjoy it! You deserve a celebration. :)

October 21, 2015 - Visa status changed to "READY" and then a few hours later "ISSUED"

October 28, 2015 - Passport received (was available for pickup Oct. 27)

October 30, 2015 - POE!

After POE:
November 9, 2015 - Received SSN (checked off option to apply on forms)
December 1, 2015 - Received Green Card

Hey all,

Can you add us to the spreadsheet please?

Our original scan date was May 1st but we got a checklist (for unchecked 'are you an American citizen' box :crying: ) so second scan date for the resubmitted form is June 22nd. Not sure which one applies.

Also, question - will they really only let you speak to a supervisor if you've gone over the 30 day limit? When this first happened and we called up about the checklist the operator offered to put us through to a supervisor but they happened to all be busy, so we were unlucky. Is it a case of persistence to get them to transfer you to one, or...?

Thank you motamimi. Everyone's kind words and prayers have helped to keep me positive so far. :)

On Monday I will be calling back and I will ask to speak to another supervisor to see if they can send my case to the review department. Tomorrow is day 80 after submitting my packages. Even getting a checklist at this point would be a blessing, just to see some movement in the case instead of it just sitting there.

I hope you (and everyone else) has a really great weekend. We're all going to get through this together.

I emailed AOS and IV package to NVC on July 1st, 2015, and received email form NVC on July 6th says already received my case on July 1st and will need 30 days review it.

Not sure my scan date is July 1st or 6th.

wow congrats!!!!!!! I hope you don't have to wait too long for interview now. we are now stuck waiting for interview to be scheduled. but I am hopeful, one day we will be done with this stupid process.

If you call within the 30 day review, all they're going to tell you is that you're still within the current time frame. However, after the 30 days, and if you're persistent enough, they will put you through.
