Hi everyone,

Today is our 43 day under supervisor review and 78 day since our original scan date and our packages still have not been reviewed. If my husband and I don't hear any news tomorrow we're going to be contacting our senator, although I've been told it can take several weeks for the release forms etc to be sent over, and then more time for the senator (or I guess the office?) to do anything. Knowing that our files haven't even been looked at yet makes me nervous, because I imagine getting a checklist after waiting for almost eighty days and restarting the process of being lost in the system. Urgh.

I hope everyone's been having a good week so far. Congrats on the CCs and here's hoping to a bunch more today and tomorrow. :)

September 29, 2012 - First met through a writing forum
January 5, 2014 - Engaged!
June 27, 2014 - Married!

USCIS:
September 23, 2014 - Sent off I-130 package
September 29, 2014 - Priority Date
September 30, 2014 - NOA1
March 26, 2015 - NOA2
April 2, 2015 - Case shipped to NVC

NVC:
April 13, 2015 - Case Number/IIN received
April 15, 2015 - DS-261 submitted
April 15, 2015 - AOS fee paid
April 21, 2015 - AOS package submitted
April 21, 2015 - IV package submitted
April 21, 2015 - Scan date

April 30, 2015 - DS-261 reviewed over the phone

May 12, 2015 - IV fee paid (late due to "EP lock")
May 13, 2015 - DS-260 submitted

May 27, 2015 - AOS/IV packages still not reviewed, flagged for supervisor review

July 10, 2015 - Supervisor review does nothing, flagged for unit manager review
August 11, 2015 - Case Complete!

Interview:

October 6, 2015 - Medical

October 13, 2015 - Interview date (AP - need to submit copy of 2014 W2)
October 21, 2015 - Visa status changed to "READY" and then a few hours later "ISSUED"

October 28, 2015 - Passport received (was available for pickup Oct. 27)
October 28, 2015 - POE fee paid
October 30, 2015 - POE!

After POE:
November 9, 2015 - Received SSN (checked off option to apply on forms)
December 1, 2015 - Received Green Card

To give us an idea of what dates they are working on so we know what to expect.. And it has helped alot of people including me i saw that everybody with my scan dated got reviewed and people with scan

Hi, can please someone explain to me how to contact congressman and will it actually help? my scan date is april 28th :( my British residency expires soon and it is crucial for me to get approved before August

And contact them,

they should have the link on their website how to contact regarding the immigration issue

And explain what you need help with

ps. if you are in LA, we might have the same

Mine is Karen Bass from a 37th district

If so, Taylor from her office is helping me and is a really nice lady

Too bad she can't help me more then she is

We are still stuck

p.s. you can contact your senator as well, but... there are 2 senators per state and one congressman per your disctrict

have you talked to a supervisor directly? I talked to a nice lady today and she said that she will look at our case and give me a call back. Hope it will do something

Roxy please share how you managed to plead with supervisor. . We are also stuck with a child's case. . Stepchild's case is holding is back for the 2014 which we sent but forgot to attach w2. Spouse was not checklisted. I'm tired of this whole process. . Been at NVC since January. Initial sd was 11th Feb. *sob#

Fortunately, the rep who answered my call directly worked under her supervisor. I explained my situation in detail. The checklist was due to a clerical error from the NVC. Meaning, it was their fault I got checklisted. She was sympathetic enough, put me on hold for quite some time and finally advised me to email her supervisor. After writing down her instructions, I pleaded and said that I'll stay on hold for another hour if it meant I'd directly be connected to a supervisor. She put me on hold again and when she got back on the line, she said she was going to transfer me right away. I spoke to the supervisor for at least a half an hour explaining that their error is causing my stepson's case to be delayed for two months! Three weeks past their supposed "it will take up to 42 days to review". He reassured me that he physically forwarded my case to those in charge of reviewing it and no matter the outcome, he will contact me in one week's time to keep me updated. He called me an hour later and told me the good news.

Basically, I think it's the luck of the draw. If you're fortunate enough to speak to someone who is capable to connect you to a supervisor, then your chances are high. I suggest to call daily if unable to get through.
