yes once its leaving nvc it will say in transit and you can call because interview is set.. the embassy may still have it and it doesn't say READY because they have not put it in their system yet. so even if you call they wont know anything before it says READY so once it says READY then they have it and they see it! so to your question once the embassy receives it will it change no, but once they receive it in their system it will change.

IN TRANSIT interview is set and its on its way!

READY embassy has it and see's it!

hope that make sense

Yes it does makes sense. Thanks

the more places this is the better! this breaks down each ceac update hope it helps. its also in the interview thread 1st post

for all of you that don't want to keep calling NVC this will help as well if your wondering if an interview is set.

STATUS Explanation On CEAC.GOV.

Just a little "fine tuning" after "AT NVC"...

"IN TRANSIT" means that NVC has entered your packet into the DHL system. Your status will stay "IN TRANSIT" while your packet is still physically at NVC, even though it has been entered into the DHL system (sometimes 24-48 hours), and during the time your packet is moving through the DHL system.

Your status will not turn to "READY" until the Embassy/Consulate has received your packet from DHL and physically scanned it into THEIR system. So...your packet could physically be at the Embassy/Consulate's mail site (often the mail site is a different building from the actual Embassy), and DHL could say the packet has been delivered, but until the Embassy/Consulate logs it in, it will still be "IN TRANSIT".

The case officers/consulate officers at the Embassy/Consulate will not know anything about your packet until your status changes to "READY". That is why, if you are trying to shift your interview date, you must not contact your Embassy/Consulate until the status is "READY". Until them, you are not in their system and they cannot "see" you.

In some Embassy/Consulates, there is a lag time between the interview approval and the time the visa foil (the page that is glued into your passport) is printed. During this time, your status is "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING". Until the visa foil is physically printed and glued into your passport, you will not see "ISSUED".

They did the same with us. Our email SD was may 29th, when I talked to the rep he sd it was June 3rd and then they changed it to june 4th, thank God we now have a CC. Our checklist was for the Household Annual Income which we left in blank, when we sent the correction we also changed the individual annual income, we thought we would get a CL for that but we didnt, so don't stress yourself out. Keep calling and let us know.

My stepson's case is finally complete! After begging and pleading to speak to a supervisor today, I was finally put through. Supervisor Aiden helped me with my case and he personally forwarded my case to be re-reviewed. He said he'd keep an eye on the case and regardless of the status, he said he'd call me next week to keep me updated. Not even an hour after I hung up the phone, he called me back and told me the good news!

My husband and stepson now await for their interviews in the US Embassy in London, England.

Please update my profile on the spreadsheet. Original scan date was April 14, 2015.
