I've registered as per my instruction letter. First thing that bothers me is the unsecure site warning in the URL bar. That aside, we have attempted to make payment with three different debit cards, all of which have been declined and the banks are now getting excited and calling. How are we supposed to pay this fee?

One more question. When do you add your appointment? Has it changed since the guide was placed in the sticky at the top of the UK page on here? It shows No Consular appointment. It took details of applicant, then courier/delivery options and then went to the payment page). I expected registering the appointment to come first.

Can't help but do take notes and screen shots so you can remember everything and write up that page for the new guide. So many links have changed and it's barely limping along. Need somebody with an actual case to write it up. I heard you volunteer.

Yes. The instructions on the letter are detailed for each step so there's no question about what comes next. It has a specific option for a k visa. It tells you exactly what to click and what to exist and it's accurate. Except the payment page. I've just sent them a message telling them they don't seem to have a valid certificate. Had I spotted that at the outset I wouldn't have tried to proceed tonight. We've already had a call from one bank fraud department. No doubt the other two will call at 6 am lol.

It is quite confusing, at first I registered on the wrong site. And you can't delete your account. As I signed up for the non-Immigrant one. I had to use my secondary email, just to register on the correct one (Immigrant - green site).

But that was all I had a problem with. After that, I just followed all the cues. The only thing I stopped for was what depot my passport was going to be delivered to. Because at first I wanted it to be delivered at home, but I saw that there was a depot very near us, only 1 bus ride away. And then after that, I just followed all the cues leading to payment. I believe debit cards are free of charge, other cards will be charged £18 (or is it $18).

My card went on the validation and security checks that Barclays has before pushing forth with the payments. And it went through, it has already been debited, and as of present I am £185 poorer.

I have signed up my account but not paid yet. Where do you register your appointment? Or does that come after the payment page?

I knew that it was the immigrant page so was fine with that. Actually the only problem I had was the payment. I have a K2 as well so outs is $530.

You can register your appointment date after you have paid. There is a box there where it says update appointment time.

We have it all sorted out now. As stated, it was all very easy and the detailed instructions tell you exactly what to do.

OK, so here's a question. Remember those calls to NVC and all the advice given that we must get the receipt number for when we pay for the visa, along with beneficiary ID's? I did get them. It was never asked for when I made the payment, so I assume they have changed this. William and I noticed that on the NVC letter as well as the Embassy letter, no reference is made to any of these. I guess they used to be needed at some stage, but no longer are. Or maybe it depends on what embassy and how you pay.

Oh well, Nich-Nick, I did take a few screen grabs of the blank screens and will put something together as a guide, but it is very simply. Aside from the banks not liking my unusual transaction, there were no issues with the payment process at all.
