now im looking on my phone how to block this number. i started getting mail voices , and too much calls

don't you think i may tell him i get the money, and what to do next? like he told me tell me when you get the money , may be they will give me trace of them?

Ignore these people. They can do nothing to you. They will tell you any lie possible to scam you. Text or call your husband too and let him know what has happened.

These people can be relentless if they think they can get money from you. Just block them and ignore their calls if you cannot block.

If you have an iPhone it's pretty easy to block callers. Just open the Recent calls list, tap the "i" then look to the bottom of the list to find Block this Caller. Not sure how it works with Android phones.

When I was at USCIS office for my biometrics they have posters all around the place informing about immigration scam. They inform USCIS dont call applicants on the phone requesting any information, ssn etc. So I will assume the same will be for IRS. If you have any doubt, YOU call IRS customer service number. DONT ever give private information or your SSN to anybody on the phone . There is a lot of scammers trying to get your information for identity theft. If you already gave them important info, talk to IRS RIGHT AWAY to inform them about this or call USCIS.

CALL YOUR HUSBAND IMMEDIATELY!!!!

The IRS does not call you on the telephone. They will send you a letter in the mail, and will give you an appointment, if they need to talk to you face to face.

Do not give ANYONE, your social security number over the phone. You let them know, your husband will call them back.

The IRs will not call a person if the person owe money, they would send an official letter in the mail.

Never give any kind of info over the phone if you are not sure about something just hang up.

This is a scam and a very nasty one. Hang up immediately and never give them any further personal information. Try and block the call. Follow the steps listed at the IRS website that discusses the scam. http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Warns-of-Pervasive-Telephone-Scam

My sister got a similar one the other day, claiming to be the attorney general and that they would arrest her in three days unless she paid some outstanding (and completely fake) fine. We have also received ones claiming to be from various tech support agencies that do not exist/would never call you. They all are seeking to steal your identity, wire money to accounts, or obtain access to a computer.

Good for you. Do not worry. Like everyone here has said, the IRS won't call you on the phone and certainly can't deport you AND even if they had that power, there is NO reason that it would be such an emergency that they need all the money today. People who owe the IRS a lot of money set up payment plans etc. This was an attempt at a scam. And you didn't fall for it. Good job.

Tell your husband. I don't think they's any need to tell the IRS--they know that there are scammers out there. But you may want to consider buying some identity theft protection just in case you told them your Social Security. There are many options out there, and you and your husband can choose one together. Maybe it is even a good idea to consider getting a new social security number. Again, that is up to you and your husband.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

I dealt with a similar situation last year. These are scammers- they can pull your information from anywhere they have access. Also- have your husband, as well as yourself, file a complaint with the IRS (as mentioned above) as soon as possible and also you can file a complaint with the attorney general. These people will call family members, your place or your husbands place of employment, friends that you haven't spoken to in years. I had to put a public message on my social media that if any of my friends or family members were contacted to hang up on these people. They will also try and intimidate your family and friends into paying the money for you by using scare tactics. One told me that they had a warrant out for my arrest and they were coming to pick me up at work...I told them, ok- I'll be waiting for you with my attorney so whenever you want to come get me I'm here. Obviously they never showed up. You can also call your local police department if they start to threaten to come to your place of work as it is against the law to make those threats without any basis for doing so. But definitely file a complaint ASAP and it would be a good idea to inform at least family because they will call them and harass them as well. They are bottom feeders.

Thanks, no they did not ask for the SSN, but they did asked for my immigration status when they were asking list of questions to be answered by Yes or No , and when i told them i did filed for taxes i gave them the dates i did that , and the rest of questions were like have you ever been arrested? deported? ......................
