Don't know why everyone is so shocked. I don't mind decrying racism when it is real. It's all the the little boy that cried wold, everything is racist BS that I get sick of .

Wen Ga first attempted to do away with the confederate flag, I was approached by the Gov's floor leader at the time and asked my take. I explained, that although the flag itself was not racist, that it had been turned into a symbol of hate and segregation by white people, and because of that it had no business flying over our capitol. I went on to explain, that if I was black i would be offended also.

I am also cool with the state giving an official apology for slavery. I think it is way overdue.

I'd wager it's because you typically don't decry it. It's either oh well, but you know white people go through the same thing or we deserve the treatment because 13% is less than 50%. Or my personal favorite, lynching and the n-word isn't racism, it's PC gone mad...

That could also be said of thousands of Nazis and somehow it would be in poor taste to have Nazi flags displayed in a cemetery as it is to have confederate flags.

Perhaps the history-challenged should come to terms the Civil War ended and the South lost. Get over it and join the 20th century...

Really? Care to support your theory with some links?

Considering the last public hanging was back in 1936, there hasn't been any support about bringing it back. In EVERY case of someone hanging a noose in a public display, it's sole purpose was to intimidate a person or a demographic.
