I've seen something called Tetleys British Blend. Well, I've bought it... it wasn't great, but was better than the (alleged) Twinings English Breakfast tea that would have needed about 6 bags to make one cup, it was soooo weak. I got both of those in the supermarket.... but it was Giant Eagle, which I suspect is an Ohio-and-thereabouts-only supermarket! But if they have Tetleys & Twinings tea there... there must surely be some available somewhere near you!

Hope you find some quick... I'd never be able to go without my tea! I think I'll end up bringing a case just filled with teabags & Marmite.

I sympathise! Try www.britishgrocers.com or pay them a visit if you are in Las Vegas. They are pricey, but I guess that depends on how desparate you are for a cuppa. I seem to remember someone mentioning a brit store close to Camarillo also??

Two of my girlfriends were here visiting last week from the uk and brought me a great big box that will last until the next visitors come out. :):)

Good Luck.

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed tea, I wouldn't mind paying lots for it. I might give in and go on one of those websites... I've avoided them so far because I'm scared of how much I'll want to buy!

Do they really not have any 'proper'(ish) tea at all in the supermarket anywhere? :( And I just thought... I remember seeing tea in World Market, too... aren't there branches of that everywhere? (I'm so clueless... )... look! http://www.worldmarket.com/PG-Tips-Tea/lev...Nty/1/index.pro

Do they have a Fred Meyers store near you. Our local one sell English tea bags, Hp sauce, Heinz baked beans and quite a fair bit of other stuff, including curry sauce.

I bought PG Tips in World Market in WA, they tasted the same as the ones from the UK (i.e. awesome.)

You can see if there's one near you here.

Good luck! :)

LOL about the Twinings Breakfast Tea, it's so true, although weak in appearance & lacking in that "tea" taste it was only slightly better than the "black tea" they had! I did however discover PG Tips in the CUB Food supermarket when I was visiting MN last year and it tasted exactly like ours :)

Applogies in advance if I have offended anyone on here about the American Tea! I'm just too fussy when it comes to me Tea ;)

Cub Foods does carry PG Tips. Cub foods is only in the upper Midwest to my knowledge. They even carry Batchelor's Mushy Peas!!!

Otherwise this is the site I use. They sell rashers !!

Even Ralphs supermarket sells the "British" Tetley tea bags in a purple-coloured box approx $4.89 for 80 bags. Best tea I have managed to find in any supermarket over here, not as good as home, but passable.
