Spicy Indonesian food!!!

Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Beef Rendang (spicy beef with coconut milk, yet dry), Indonesian Curries (red, green and yellow), Fried Tempe (fried fermented soy cake), Satay (marinated grilled meat on a stick) and so forth... I like all spicy Southeast Asian cuisine!!!!

To that end, my wife can cook them all and loves to try new recipes.

I serve as the prep cook, peeling and cleaning things, she does the rest. We feast, then I then do the dishes. An awesome arrangement!!!

Do you like Soto Ayam too ?. It's Dan's fave.

Yes, I do. In fact, I can't think of one Indonesian food item that I don't like.

I wish we knew how to make Martabak manis. I could eat the entire cake!!

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, stuffing, brussel sprouts, yorkshire pudding and lots of gravy. Steamed chocolate sponge for dessert.

I'm not big on vegetables, especially broccoli and asparagus. And I will NEVER EVER eat LIVER!!!!

So for my favorite meal . . . . . . That's a hard one because I like to eat. I love Indian, Thai and Mexican. But there's this restaurant here called Cafe Rio. They make this salad with black beans, green chile rice and steak with guacamole and pico de gallo in a tortilla bowl with the most amazing creamy tomatillo dressing.

If I can't have that, I'll take some Pad Thai or Panang Curry or maybe some naan with Chicken Kurma.

My favorite Kenyan food: Kuku (stew), ugali, and kunde. Or: (lean) mbuzi choma, ugali, and kachumbari.
