I like Chinese food Cantonese style not hot. I enjoy lots of vegetables, rice and tofu dishes, lots of ginger and garlic. As far as meats Ox Tail soup, chicken and pork. When it comes to fish I like sturgeon, shark and flounder and just about any ocean seafood.

Hi Everyone,

Good luck on your immigration journeys. Hmm...the last two posts about Chinese/Asian food reminds me of the answer to my question of "What is your least favourite meal? and What foods would you not like to eat at all?"...

So my answer to my least favourite food/meal is Chinese/Asian food. Lol..don't get me started on this one, but let's just say that a trip for me to the hospital emergency room in the middle of the night because of food poisoning found in Chinese/Asian food that I ate (because someone else invited me to, as I would not eat that type of food in the first place) pretty much explains it all. I would never ever eat Chinese/Asian food ever again! And yes, I consider myself very lucky to be now living in an area where there are no Chinese/Asian restaurants.

Anyone else care to say what their least favourite foods/meals are?

Ant

Hi Everyone,

Since the original thread was "What is your favourite meal?", then what would be your answer for the opposite situation?:

"What is your least favourite meal? What foods would you not like to eat at all?"

Spicy Indonesian food!!!

Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Beef Rendang (spicy beef with coconut milk, yet dry), Indonesian Curries (red, green and yellow), Fried Tempe (fried fermented soy cake), Satay (marinated grilled meat on a stick) and so forth... I like all spicy Southeast Asian cuisine!!!!

To that end, my wife can cook them all and loves to try new recipes.

I serve as the prep cook, peeling and cleaning things, she does the rest. We feast, then I then do the dishes. An awesome arrangement!!!

since I'm a diabetic.....sweets.....LOTS of sweets!!!! :D Any shape or form

AUGH! It's tough being a diabetic, eh? That's been the hardest part cuz I am a cheesecake and chocolate fanatic! If you've ever tried sugar free candies and chocolates, you KNOW you can't eat but one or two...omg, if you eat more...I won't go into details....

However....my favourite meal is steak...prime rib, medium well with a nice baked potato (butter and sour cream), and a nice soft yeast roll with honey butter....mmmmmmmmmmmm!

My least favourite? *laughs softly* I don't think there IS one. :)

Boiled lobster and steamers with lots of drawn butter. Loaded baked potato and salad on the side.

Ok, now I'm really hungry....

MMMMMM steamers .... love them! I forgot how much I loved them until I moved back to New England (could not find them anywhere else I lived, just up in NE).

It has been a while and I forgot about this thread!

I am really impressed by all the responses. I love that there were responses from people all over the world. Food is something that we can all relate to- no matter where we come from.

I love trying new things and have many favorite dishes. My family was never very adventurous when it came to food, so I am glad I have ventured off and tried new things on my own.
