Although, I love all of the above mentioned foods, :blush: especially yummy tiramisu.....I really want some hot chips right now with tomato (translation ketchup) sauce...god knows why, but that is what I want! :wacko:

Myself: matar-paneer with chapati, fruit-nut pilaf (raisins, cashews, almonds, basmati rice) which is NORTH Indian.

Pras: masala-dosai with saambaar (containing radish, onion and potato) more typically SOUTH Indian.

(and both of us are South Indians)

And it's also my husband's favorite meal, not that it's any of your business. :rolleyes:

chicken passanda, naan bread, mushroom rice, popadums and mango chutney - can't beat it and in this current weather it would be a blessing. Its a shame that I can't find a decent one in VA but back in the UK, youre spoilt for choice. On the dessert side it would have to be VERY well made pannacotta or a simple chocolate fondue with brownies, marshmallows, strawberries and lady fingers. YUM !

Since we also got to the topic of favourite desserts...

Mine: rasagolla (paneer orbs in sugar-water syrup), ras-malai (paneer orbs in badam-kheer base), sevian (vermicelli in badam-kheer base), other badam-kheer based such as kheer-kamala (mandarin oranges), double-comeeta (bread-pudding).

Pras: double-comeeta, gulab-jamun, sevian.

(badam-kheer base: sweetened milk with cardammon and almonds--oft also with raisin or cashew; walnuts also work).
