is okcupid a marriage broker? i cant find anything on their page but we never paid for anything. im afraid we'll be asked to submit additional documents which we dont have. we deleted our account long time ago and i cant seem to contact their customer service to ask if they are a marriage broker

This is the response I got from emailing them.

Hi,

We can't send anything official, but I can say definitively that we are not an international marriage broker, simply a website where anyone can contact anyone else for any reason, including friendship and relationships. Memberships are free.

You may also want to re-enable your account and make a copy of the initial messages you sent each other, which will prove that you exchanged contact info freely and it was not arranged through us.
