Proof of having met - Bank statement organizing question

Hi all,

Just a quick question I was just thinking of while trying to organize our visa.

I have a "receipt" section/tab and a "bank statement" section/tab. Should I reference to the "separate" bank statement tab or should I add the bank statement page to the copy of a receipt. Was wondering what would be better or easier for the person(s) looking at our visa.

Sorry guess I was assuming all would know what it was for, ooopsy :)

Yes for the K-1 Visa packet. I was thinking while I was trying to show proof on having met, should I include a copy of the bank statement page to each copied receipt? Or reference each receipt with sticky notes?

I decided to just reference each receipt with sticky notes to the corresponding bank statement page.

Proof of having met is only for an I-129F. But it is necessary to show a proof ongoing relationship for K-1 visa application. Those are different. That's why I confused when you said proof of having met yet you mentioned about K-1 visa application.

Based on my experience, I organized all docs by myself to make easier for me to find certain docs when the CO asked it from me. All financial docs I put together under I-134 support docs and the others such as cards, pictures, etc I put under miscellaneous. If the receipts you are talking about expenses or bills hotel, if I were you probably would not put it under financial support docs for I-134.

It seems as though you have not sent in the I-129F petition yet. So, if it is for the I-129F petition filing, then it is not a 'K-1 visa packet'. That is why you were asked which one, because they are two different phases of the processes, and people wanted to know exactly what you were filing to know how to put it together and what to include. The I-129F petition is not a visa application. You are just petitioning to allow your foreign fiance(e) to be eligible to apply for a K-1 visa if approved. Once the I-129F petition is approved, the foreign fiance(e) will apply for the visa through the US consulate in their country.

No need to make the I-129F petition mailing so detailed. They are going to take apart your papers and place them in their own folder how they want them to be anyway. Sticky notes can fall off, and I doubt they want to sift through and try to find references to each and every corresponding piece of paper you add in. Just separate all of that into proof of meeting, which is a requirement of the I-129F. If you are going to go ahead and add in proof of relationship, then group that together separately and call it proof of ongoing relationship.Separate each section with a paperclip. You can even put a page at the front of your sections labeled as 'Proof of Meeting', etc. List the groups on your cover letter in the order you stack them for mailing.
